Insomniac is giving a whole hype treatment in a tweet about their weekly Twitch show titled Ratchet & Clank on PS5. So, yes, that very game Sony has used to help move consoles forever. And, while PlayStation fans are having a grand time, Xbox players, well… Let’s just say they’re putting on quite the show. Hence, the tweet can simply be described as: “We’re beaming over to Twitch for our weekly Insomniac Live show… right now with #RatchetPS5!” Whatever enthusiasm was seeded from the PlayStation camp kind of dissipated at the replies. Those turned into a battleground, with Xbox fans flooding the comments demanding ports, cracking exclusive jokes, and doing their bit of trolling. One user even went: “Is there any chance you can release this game on Xbox and help that community?” Br-u-h.
PlayStation zealots wouldn’t have stomachs for such an insult. Return comments like “Xbox port beggars are hilarious” and “The desperation of everyone who has been an Xbox fan since the failed 360 needs to be studied” flew left and right. Into this fight again, the battle was supposed to have died. It never did; it just metamorphosed into an online slapfest.
But hey, one can’t neglect the fact. Insomniac’s weekly Twitch streams are a treasure for the fans. Heavy theorycrafting sessions on Ratchet and Clank gameplay, behind-the-scenes looks at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, even teases for Wolverine (yes, someone in the replies asked for updates on that too): these are the streams where the magic details get spilled.
Speaking of Spider-Man 2, somebody all but name-dropped finishing the whole game in one day. Like… how? That’s either a flex or a cry for help. Either way, respect.
The takeaway is that Insomniac’s games are so good an Xbox fan would shamelessly start scrounging for scraps-but least of all, Ratchet & Clank is not hopping away to foothold on a different platform anytime soon. Some big-time PlayStation exclusives are what make you buy a PlayStation console, and Insomniac has ever been tied to the PlayStation brand.
So if you’re an Xbox user still holding out all hope… maybe invest in a PS5? Or at least just stop asking in the replies. This is getting quite embarrassing.
For anyone else, Insomniac Live is the show to catch. Measurements about Ratchet & Clank and Spider-Man, or devs geeking out about their games. And maybe we’ll hear from Wolverine sooner than we think.
So yeah, Xbox fans? Keep dreaming. Or don’t. Either way, the win is already on PlayStation’s side this round.
