Razer is keen on designing small footprint gaming laptops and has been teasing gaming fans with ‘world’s first’ for the IFA 2019. After announcing the Razer Stealth 13 GTX, the world’s first gaming Ultrabook, the California-based company has something else in store, the all-new Razer Blade 15, dubbed the world’s smallest gaming laptop – but it packs a punch.

“The Razer Blade 15 has the smallest footprint of any 15.6″ gaming laptop while also being one of the thinnest in its class. Other similarly configured laptops are double the volume, and over an inch bigger in both depth and width.” wrote Razer.

The new Razer Blade 15 is available in two options – Razer Blade 15 Base model and Razer Blade 15 Advanced model. The former is for the budget buyers while the latter is for those who want power and performance. Just like with the Razer Stealth 13 GTX, the Blade 15 is available in Mercury white besides the Razer signature matte finish.

While two are all based on a 15.6″ panel, the display options are wide.

You have the choice of two displays for the base model; Full HD (1920 x 1080) 60Hz IPS, or the Full HD (1920 x 1080) 144Hz IPS. Both cover 100% sRGB.

As for the Advanced models, the display options are much wider – four in total. These are Full HD (1920 x 1080) 144Hz IPS, Full HD (1920 x 1080) 240Hz, 4K Touch (3840 x 2160) 60Hz IPS and OLED 4K Touch (3840 x 2160) 60Hz.

The OLED 4K, 3840 x 2160 display is particularly the best for competitive gaming as it has blistering 1ms response time, HDR 400 True Black certification and the screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 space.

Under the hood, there are two processor options. Choose either the 8th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-8750H or 9th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-9750H. The base model can be paired with the GTX 1060, GTX 1660 Ti, or RTX™ 2060. On the other hand, the Advanced model can be configured with RTX™ 2060, RTX™ 2070, or RTX™ 2080. Both models feature a 16GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM.

The new Razer Blade 15 is not just powerful; it sports the looks as well. The laptop boasts a precision-crafted aluminum chassis and ultra-thin 4.9mm bezels. For connectivity, Razer included one Thunderbolt™ 3 (USB-C), one USB-A, one HDMI 2.0, one Mini DisplayPort 1.4, Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5mm Combo Audio port.

The Razer Blade 15 Base model starts from $1599 and features a Full HD (1920×1080) display with 60Hz refresh rate, 128GB SSD, and 1TB HDD. The Advanced model starts from $1799 and features a Full HD (1920×1080) or OLED 4K Touch and a 256 GB SSD, and 1 TB HDD. Now, the Base model is available in the US and Canada, and the Advanced model should follow shortly.
