Rockstar has rushed in with a spice update for the GTA Online, where all action was put under the crime grind. There was a double pay option to sabotage competitors’ dispensaries while you were booking it for the Money Laundering Missions: Smoke on the Water; and if you’re a GTA+ member, then double would become quadruple. Yes, I did say that. Four times the cash.
That said, life had more in store. Weed farms now generate products at 2X speed, while Short Trips are also offering double rewards. Essentially, if you’ve been slacking in the drug world in the virtual world, now would be the right time to resume activities.
Of course, the tweet from Rockstar Games gave rise to the usual drumming of hype and salty comments from the community; some were quick to point out features that are actually missing- like Turkish language support for GTA VI (which, come on, is not even out yet). Others, like @EvilReaper02, were still sore about the missing fire smoke particles. Interesting priorities.
And then there were cries about classic GTA Online: @IIIIIlllIlIIllI called Rockstar out for ignoring the godmode Corvette glitch that’s been there for years now, while glitches affecting money are fixed within 24 hours. Funny, ain’t it?
Well, not everyone left out their agitation. @Soulbound_TV said what needed to be said: “GTA really turned horticulture into hustle culture 🌿.” And really? They aren’t lying. What started as a game largely about stealing cars and robbing banks has now become a sim for operating a criminal enterprise, including weed farming, money laundering, and corporate sabotage.
Meanwhile, Red Dead Online players just keep begging for fixes. @KC_4191 and @Marv2030 were in the replies talking about bugged collectibles and abandoned updates. It’s rough out here for these cowboys.
Oh, and they say no Rockstar tweet is ever complete without someone demanding news on GTA VI. @GTASZN had to just drop a 🔜 and have that count as legit speculative discourse now.
So, if you ever needed a reason to jump back into GTA Online, what with its double rewards, faster production, and all-around chaos, this would be it. But don’t hold your breathe for any completions- some glitches are just deaths.
Go ahead and burn some rival dispensaries. Or, just, don’t: the grind waits for no one.
