If you think you’ve seen it all in GTA Online, you may want to reconsider. One player has pulled off what could easily be dubbed one of the most ridiculous stunts of 2024: takeoffs, landings-the whole nine yards-on-the-damn-lighthouse after having been rocketed off by a rocket car. Yeah, you read that right.
One clip shared by u-TheRealMurda10k and then picked up by Dexerto showed the player character getting yeeted-as-the-popcorn-across-the-map by what looked like a Vigilante, Batmobile vibes if not quite for the GTA nerd. This character’s physics-defying flight ended with a perfect landing atop a lighthouse because, why not?
Gamers below cannot contain their excitement. Some are calling it “Calculated” (Jimidesuu), while others are asking about the history of tries (again Jimidesuu-with an opinion flip?). Winston G simply said, “How did he do that?” And honestly? So am I. The GTA physics engine has sometimes its weird ways.
Zeitgeist AGI said, “Masterclass in GTA physics engine,” indeed. MrUnknown.eth gags, “Lighthouse keeper: ‘Not again! Third player this week!'” which is so apt for Los Santos.
Moving to the core issue: is it skill or luck? TheRealMurda10k hasn’t said whether it took many attempts; however, seeing the perfect landscape, we are inclined to say a whole lot of practice and loads of luck. Ghostistakenn sounds jealous: “Bro why you not posting my clipsðŸ˜,” followed by a link to his GTA trolling clips.
What adds even more fun to this is the fact that people are finding new ways to break GTA Online even after almost 10 years being on it. Summarized nicely by Itsalastor: “ngl, pushing friends/npcs with the vigilante is one of the funniest shi i’ve done on this game.” Truth.
Kapisch took a u-turn and slapped Rockstar for its slow speed over GTA 6 with: “Year 2067 – GTA VI Trailer 73 just dropped. 🤡” Which means, that hit a little too soon, huh?
GTA Online is still relevant after all these years since its release. Where else do you even rocket-launch someone, land on a lighthouse, and have an uproarious crowd cheering for it? Bee Present simply said, “The kids love this game.”
Gogopixi1 asked, “I know guys find this entertaining, what about girls?” for anyone wondering if these things are only made for men, to which we would say- Explosions and ridiculous physics know no gender.
One thing guaranteed is that there are going to be many copycats wanting to try and replicate this. After XtremeWallss said, “I will try,” I suppose I must agree. See you guys at the lighthouse, nerds. But watch out for that rocket chariot.
In unrelated but top-of-the-line news, SciTech Era gave an overview of top-selling games in the reply section reminding everyone that GTA V has sold 210 million copies. No wonder there’s always someone online to launch you into a lighthouse.
At the end of the day, that’s what gaming really is: those perfect ridiculous moments that you just could not ask someone to script for you. Now if you excuse me, I got to test that rocket car onto a lighthouse. Hold the controller.
