Hold on to your popcorn, fellow Genshin Impact fans! News too good to handle came down to us. Gamescom Cologne has gotten an official nod for the Nod-Krai booths from August 20 to August 24, 2025. And the reactions have quite an interesting flavor.

First, the good news. The Nod-Krai offline exhibition is something of an immersive experience for Travellers (that’s you great, colossal Genshin lore buffs). Think merch, sneak previews, with the possible allowance of cosplayers by the millions. Going by the official tweet, the folks behind it all would say, “Come on over!” As if inviting all to an anime fest. Maybe that’s exactly what it is.

The spicy part is the reply threads. Chaos! Some players are so pumped up with “I’m getting everything with Flins on it” types of enthusiasm. Then you have some more who prove to be reminders that the Flins nerf drama is pretty much in existence: Another reply was in all caps: “HOYO FIR FUCK SAKE IM GONNA MURDER THE GUY WHO DECIDED TO NERF FLINS.” Yikes. Somebody get this person a stress ball.

Again came the eternal demands from Genshin fans too: more Primogems, a skip button (lol good luck with this one), and, of course, the ultimate question: “Is official merch available online too?” Not everyone is capable of jetting off to Germany, even for the sake of Nod-Krai.

Back to Germany: That is a welcome pain for all those who can’t be there, “Im gonna cry why is it when im away from germany 😭😭😭.” The other are plotting how to say: “I wanna throw the Mualani shark plush at ’em.” Priorities, people.

A little bit of speculation: “Nodkrai trailer in Gamescon??” “Are you gonna tease Nodkrai?” The hype train is moving fast with HoYoverse not even confirming anything beyond the booth itself. Classic Genshin community – always overanalyzing every pixel.

But at least one was classy: “Offline events like Gamescom offer unique, deep engagement opportunities for your community.” Sure, Gro3, we’re seeing you all analytical while the rest of us scream about Flins.

Lesson learned: Genshin Impact at Gamescom 2025 will be monumentally huge. For lore, for merch, or just to view the catastrophic chaos that ensues when thousands of gamers descend on a single booth, it will be a sight. And if you can’t go? Well, at least you’ll have some dramatic Twitch moments.

Which leads me to: I should check and see if I’ll have enough money for another round of Genshin merch.
