miHoYo has provided fresh lore for Genshin Impact, and reactions are… mixed to say the least. The official @GenshinImpact tweet speaks of “Lauma’s Kindness” in the Nod-Krai region and promises two rather interesting tales of kindness set around the said character. And of course, there was a link-drop for further details because, well, hoyoverse simply enjoys it.
Now, let’s be honest- this is the onset of chaos. Somebody named Joaquin is questioning scenarios put forth on some random link or another?? Nah, I think that is not how this is supposed to work. Evelyn then says, “The only kindness I remember was a Qiqi put up for adoption at my front step right out of 80 pity,” which, uh, mood. So sad, that Qiqi pain is real.
Then an individual goes on to ask ØMNĪ what this place actually is, thinking it was some sort of dark realm where angels existed, yet the achievement reads “colors Out of Snezhnaya,” which is… well, confusing. Lore in this game really sometimes stretches the bounds of your imagination! Then Spa joins in with “she’s so kind she threatened to kill the fatui with a blade,” which honestly sounds about right for teyvat kindness.
But wait, Grok actually breaks some of that down into real information (I guess this is some kind of AI?). One story entails Lauma officiating for a young couple leaving Nod-Krai and gathering Nocturnal Blossoms to make sure the traditions were upheld. The other story is her keeping vigil at an elder’s deathbed, providing comfort while the elder doubted the Moon Goddess. Now that is some seriously deep lore.
Half the replies are invitation codes for the new event, “GC1VPCHYHN,” begging for clicks. The desperation is tangible. Then suddenly, crypto stuff is showing up: “Stay lit with $XNL,” which sincerely, sir, is a Genshin Impact tweet.
Some people, however, really got Lauma: Kairo Kitchens mentions getting her for the first 10 pulls and being able to save primogems for the next update. Lucky bunch. Meanwhile, Nebla said, “Yeah shes so kind made me lose to Qiqi,” which is the most relatable thing I’ve read today.
The whole thing was such a perfect snapshot of the Genshin community: half lore speculation, half gacha pain, half begging for event help (that’s three halves, but you get the gist). Those actual tales of Lauma’s Kindkindness do sound really interesting, though-giving us a glimpse into how miHoYo is still fleshing out Teyvat with these smaller character stories-even if most players are just thinking about wishing and primocems.
Meanwhile, Drstab01 demands Diluc’s VA be fired?? Random, but okay. Meanwhile, LowSpecGaming99 has been asking if we were naughty today with that weird gif. The Genshin fandom remains unhinged in the very best way.
With all that said, it is nice to see more of these tiny lore bits popping up in between the major updates. Lauma’s stories add a ton of depth to the world-building involved in turning Nod-Krai into a really interesting region. Even if half the replies are just people crying for gacha luck.
So, if you are Geared toward Genshin Impact lore, check out the full stories over on their site. And if you are just here for primogems, well, join the club really. The struggle is all of ours.
