The Birthday Tweet for Sigewinne: Genshin fans went wild when miHoYo tweeted for the cutest character Sigewinne. From the official Genshin account came a short message from Sigewinne, one of the characters loved by fans, exuding that warm fuzzy feeling we have come to expect from her.
“Thank you so much everyone, your kindness is touching,” and that was the tweet that led to an avalanche of replies that ranged from wholesome to those who took the chance to throw shade at the game.
And, of course, the replies section was absolute mayhem. Surely there were regular birthday wishes—shoutout to Haruto with the cute blue and purple heart emojis—but suddenly, some drama was interpolated in the conversation.
An account named @stmukuchi went off on a tangent regarding American voice actor guilds?? C’mon now, man, we are trying to celebrate a fictional character’s b-day here! @Eve95772207, on the other hand, took this moment to demand the recasting of Paimon’s English voice actor. Wrong venue for that, my dude!
But on to the good stuff. The love for Sigewinne was REAL. Several fans described her as being the “cutest,” which, fair. @sophergopher12 just said she is the “BEST HEALER IN GAME,” which probably needless to trigger a debate in the replies about whether she could possibly outshine Kokomi (she doesn’t, but let people enjoy whatever they want).
Then there was @PaimonPancake, who just had to innocently add: “Where is her father?”; @Arthus92, in turn, dropped the almost pertinent lore information that Elynas is her actual father. Just a casual Genshin lore drop in the replies to a birthday tweet, as one does.
Nobody is surprised by the fact that good old Genshin would never leave a tweet about Sigewinne without demanding improvements to quality of life. @KorvacXI used the opportunity to claim that “there should be a button to skip all dialogue,” which… really, fair point.
We all know how annoying it gets mashing X through Paimon’s long, boring chat. A meanwhile rant by @LeMrMadaMada about “disgusting” Western voice actors sealed the deal. Really, dude? You should read the room.
Best yet has to be: @Bugnels casually including that it also is their birthday alongside Sigewinne. Congrats, king. Meanwhile, @DySytha27585 and @CurntlyNotHere lost their minds over a Navia mention, proving once again that Genshin fans will hyperfixate on ANY crumb of their favorite character.
Me: It also rekindled the familiar debate of yore: Is Sigewinne any good, though? @_Exuberant_ seemed unimpressed, sharing a screenshot of her kit while saying, “If only she were good.” @Azuri_Sintre just screamed, “SIGEWINNE MY BABY” into the void. Mood.
At the end of the day, seeing the Genshin community unite, even if half of the replies were batshit, is just nice for one of their faves. Happy birthday, Sigewinne. May your heals be strong and your fanbase remain chaotic.
