Forza Horizon decided to drop a spicy little teaser that really got the car geeks and gamers excited. The unofficial Twitter account had posted this ambiguous clip showing paid, just very intense taillights screaming at 9,000 RPM: “Can you name this track-born beast?” And all of a sudden, the guesses poured in at a speed far greater than a Bugatti on nitrous.
So first things first: that teaser. The taillights? Pure fire. If there ever was such a thing as visual aggression, there they would be. The clip is too short for comprehension, but just a few seconds of it melts the asphalt. The caption: a challenge–“Can you name this track-born beast?” Let the chaos commence.
Most thought it was the Apollo IE. That was the most popular answer given by a handful of players, including Mark “MΛZΕ” Perozo, and I honestly agree. The Apollo Intensa Emozione (commonly abbreviated as IE) is the kind of hypercar sports car somebody whose only musical genre is heavy metal and whose only drink is espresso. It’s wild, and loud; loud enough that it probably is the kind of thing whose taillights would scream at 9K RPM. One player even started to type out the name Italian style, “apollo intensa emozione,” and yeah, that fits.
But a few expressed some doubt. We also got a Wild Card with suggestions encompassing the McLaren P1 (particularly the 2013 variant, for reasons of course), the Hennessey Venom F5, or a pure invention called a Ferrari Matilda 452 (uh… that one doesn’t even exist, but hey, creativity counts). One user half-jokingly asked if it was the Apollo, followed by, “That’s what I thought 😂,” since sometimes the obvious choice is the right one.
There were reactions to that as well, alongside the less helpful comments: One demanded, “Fix your ai,” so, you know, not sure if ai here stands for artificial intelligence or some annoying abbreviation for something, but sure. Another showed the whereabouts of the Hyundai Coupe, rattling off a list of cars as if they were choosing entrees. And, naturally, came the classic “Fh6 pls 🫣🥹” because no Forza tweet is complete without a solitary soul begging for the next game.
And get this, there are even players having a hard time with the actual game. CptnBlackjack revealed that the Event Lab seasonal event kept malfunctioning and would throw up errors demanding them to connect to Horizon Life and download it. Priorities, am I right? So, while everyone is busy guessing the cars, a considerable portion of the community is already trying to play the hell out of that game.
Then the cryptic Jeffrey Smith (a.k.a. JMOD5342) made mention of the line “I can get a little… fiery,” possibly referencing an achievement tied to the car—maybe a drift challenge? Who can say, but now we want to know.
So what’s the conclusion? The Apollo IE is the strongest contender, and honestly it just makes perfect sense. This thing is a track monster with a design that looks like it can cut air simply by glaring at it. Plus Intensa Emozione literally translates into Intense Emotion, which describes those taillights pretty well.
But hey, Forza Horizon loves to keep us guessing. Maybe it’s a surprise drop; maybe it’s a big hint. Or maybe they did it just so they could watch the Internet lose its collective mind over those glowing red lights. Either way, they’ve definitely accomplished their goal. Now, if only somebody would fix that Event Lab…
