Fortnite has made an announcement that nobody can ignore; it’s quite the opposite of just another announcement. Yuki Yubari has been officially introduced to the game, and she will come with a bang. The official Fortnite Twitter account has specified that after the next Chapter of Fortnite Battle Royale goes live on November 29, any player logging in between November 27 at 9 AM ET and December 1 at 9 AM ET will be provided with the Yuki Yubari Outfit for free. Yes, you read that right – free.
For certain players, this is like Christmas time coming early since they have been waiting for so long to see the new content released. To those who don’t know who Yuki Yubari is, she is character from the movie Kill Bill, – the young assassin with a meteor hammer. And Fortnite is like just giving away the character as if nothing happened. The timing is also perfect not only for Christmas but also for the release of a new chapter in the game.
As expected, the community has gone wild with their reactions. For instance, one username Hanzy expressed the exact sentiment shared by many when he quoted “Yuki Yubari! You know I’m logging in!”. On the other hand, Pixel Throne found a totally different angle and pointed out “fortnite really said ‘we ran out of original ideas so here’s a kill bill character’ and honestly respect for the audacity.” They are somewhat right; although the collaborations of Fortnite are becoming increasingly bizarre, they still find a way to work.
Nevertheless, the Yuki Yubari giveaway is indeed a bit tricky. Some players raised the issue with a question: “Do I have to log in at exactly 9 am? Or can I log in later?” and that is definitely a reasonable question. The answer is no, logging in at 9 AM is not a must. However, it is sufficient to log in at any time within the four days (from November 27 to December 1) and you will still get the outfit. There is, therefore, a good time frame available for the free outfit to be claimed.
What is also interesting is the fact that players have already started behaving as though Yuki Yubari is going to be the new “default” winter outfit. A user POSTed that “The new winter default outfit has just come into existence. Every Christmas I feel we have some sort of new default outfit it’s nostalgic as!” And they are not mistaken – do you remember when everybody was wearing those festive skins last year? It is going to be the same case this time around.

One user was asking for Superman in the shop while others were mentioning Optimus Primal. There’s even a suggestion for the return of One Punch Man skins. Apparently, every one of us is simply using this announcement to express their personal wish lists.
The Dragon Ball fans are also around. User Veggeto_dbl pointed out that it was over a year ago when Gohan and Piccolo skins were introduced. He remarked that everything else has returned except for those two, and he even said that they were hoping for their return in Chapter 7. To be honest? Same here, the Dragon Ball character was one of the best collaborations.
Besides, there is also a discussion going on regarding the future rarity of this Yuki Yubari outfit. One user insisted that “It can be rare later”, which is credible; limited-time, free outfits usually become very coveted items later. Therefore, even if you are not really into Yuki Yubari, maybe just for the collecting reason, you should take her.
Timing is a factor here, as well. Player stated, “Correct me if I’m wrong but this is going to be the first chapter to end on the same day the previous one began”, if this is the case it implies that Epic has been very efficient in making the transition between chapters quite smooth which is no less than fantastic for the players who can’t endure to wait for new content.

One user summed it all up in the words, “We just want the servers to be up,” which is totally true as that is the feeling among the players right now. It can’t be worse than a chapter opening where the servers get down and you can’t even play.
