What can you say about the Fortnite leaks? The Kicks from the leak have taken a great hit on the party. The leakshood named ShiinaBR dropped a couple of unfurled images of the upcoming Fortnite kicks, and now the community is running berserk after these images. Is this whole lupus of digital shoes??
The leaked images basically shed light on three types of shoes coming soon to the item shop. One pair is those irregular blocky shoes that totally seemed to be out from Minecraft; then you got these downright weird hot dog shoes with miniature dachshunds attached on them (yeah, dachshunds); and one other pair that goes in eternal dispute amongst players. And the interaction in the reply section?? Pure turmoil, man.
Some players go about loving those pixel shoes. One comment said, “The pixel shoes are so tuff bro 🔥,” whereas another says they have Minecraft vibes. What if you run around the island acting like you stepped out of some retro game? That’s actually sick, ndngl. “Hang on, they look kinda cool, dude,” which is high praise coming from Fortnite gamers who usually just want more guns and less fashion.
But the real show is being stolen by the hot dog shoes with the actual dogs as designs. “Wiener dog hot dog shoes damn those are clean”, they wrote, and honestly?? They’re right. The design is so ridiculous that it is awesome. “They got the doggies 👀” said another, because, naturally, the adorable dachshunds would be the first spotted.
Almost everyone had already begun to theorize how they were going to extract money from their wallets to buy these. “Buying the Hotdog kicks for sure,” said one, with an echoed sentiment of “I need those doggie ones” as if they’re actually acquiring pets instead of digital shoes. There are even players talking about matching these to upcoming skins- “Gonna use the dog ones for scooby when he drops 😅” which honestly makes kick-ass sense??
But not everyone’s impressed; “Kicks are boring I dont even use them lol 🤣” shrugged one player, to put it fairly, some couldn’t care less about virtual fashion. There are more dramatic opinions, though: “had one of the most iconic shoes in the entirety of gaming passed up for shitty pumas, those dumbass trend boots from years ago, and now this ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜” like bro, it’s just shoes. Calm down.
The pixel shoes seem to be getting the most consistent love. “Man, I usually hate kicks in Fortnite, but I gotta admit those pixel kicks look really nice,” one player confessed. “Alright, the right ones are fire ngl,” another said, referring to the pixel shoes.
Pricing and bundles were brought up already. There was talk on whether or not there would be discounts if you already owned certain backblings, about if these would be sold separately, or in packs. “It’s going to be bundled with the backbling. So if you got the backbling then you’ll get a discount” one knowledgable player dropped, meaning Fortnite’s economy is more complicated than some actual countries.
Considering the Halloween tie-in, well: “OMG! Halloween around the corner and shoes getting too HOT 🔥 right now! – Hotdog hot! 🥵” Because everything in Fortnite eventually gets tied to something seasonal. The timing for some spooky season kicks is just too good.
Reactions scattering from “automatic cop” to someone going for the pun with “HOT dogs” and everything in between. The sole reason that so much passion can exist for virtual shoes is Fortnite, there, fashion struts toe-to-toe with firepower. Some players are even worried that rares will be used-now-“I still do, but I’m afraid to use it in-game now cause I don’t want it confiscated,” which unfairly shows seriously how people take their digital collecting.
These leaked Fortnite shoes show that Epic is always trying to push the envelopes on what can be put into Fortnite as cosmetics. From glorious pixelated throwbacks to some insanely silly hot dog shoes; they must be crazy about footwear. It remains to be seen whether the players will actually sink in and spend some V-Bucks on these, but judging by the reactions, I would say those pixel shoes at least will sell like hotcakes.
So if you love cool footwear, keep an eye on your neighborhood item shop for a couple of more days. These leaked shoes might be worth some PlayStation glory or just be the major forget. But now that they’ve got everybody talking, in Fortnite, that truly matters.
