Fortnite has unveiled yet another outstanding collaboration, and this time it is none other than sandwiches. Yes, that’s right, sandwiches! A recent leak from HYPEX, a well-known dataminer, suggests that the character Shaggy from Scooby-Doo series is going to be equipped with a “Super Sandwich” backbling that genuinely grows taller with every elimination you score. Hence, the more players you knock off, the longer your sandwich gets. This is simply unbelievable!
The picture shows a gigantic burger-like object on Shaggy’s back, which reportedly starts off small but becomes utterly absurd if you keep killing in a match. The players have already begun to react overwhelmingly to this with some people calling it a genius idea while others being completely baffled by the whole thing. Just think if you were Epic Games and one of the staff members said, “let’s have a sandwich that gets bigger with every enemy killed,” and they actually pulled it off???
A gamer expressed, “That’s such a fun twist turning eliminations into a literal stack of sandwiches is genius!” which, to be honest, is a perfect representation of the atmosphere. It is just too much Fortnite-style – selecting something totally random and making it a gameplay mechanic. What I mean is, does it really matter if you have a gigantic, monstrous creation of meat and bread on your back?

There are gamers who have already begun thinking whether this could turn into a cool emote since it would be very hilarious to be so. Imagine your character just taking this huge sandwich off their back and having a bite in the game. However, taking into account just how big it could be, that would most likely be an impossible mission without the person breaking their jaw.
However, the whole concept clearly reflects Shaggy’s character trait. I mean, if you are somehow familiar with Scooby-Doo, you would know the character is always hungry and the one who makes those giant sandwiches. So, wouldn’t it be good if the backbling was a sandwich that gets crazier as you do better? That’s great character adaptation at its best!
Though, there is even one comment that says “Confirmed that Shaggy is a cannibal?” what? I can barely figure out how they came to that conclusion, but alright. Meanwhile, another user said “I always thought the foods in Scooby-Doo were very tempting” which is indeed a good point. The foods portrayed in the cartoons were always more inviting than actual ones.
Among other things the most important one is what is the actual size of this thing? Is there any limit to it? Can it eventually cover your screen? Will it be taller than the character? These indeed are the crucial questions that will need to be answered during pre-game preparations because this item is going to be up for sale soon.
Considering how imaginative Fortnite has been in their collaborations lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is one of those items that are solely for the most absurd in terms of craziness. Even if you are not very good at getting eliminations, having a small sandwich on your back is still cool. If you are, however, the kind of player who usually gets 20 kills then it would feel as if you are carrying a skyscraper made solely of meat and bread on your back.
It is this sort of thing that keeps Fortnite fresh and thrilling from one season to another. I mean where else can you have serious shootouts with a sandwich that is actually growing in real-time according to the number of enemies you have killed? Only in Fortnite!
The other thing that adds to it is the timing as it comes along with all the other crazy stuff that is already happening in the game. The vehicle mods, new weapons, and now the leveling up sandwich backblings, it seems like Epic is just throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. And honestly? This sandwich thing is probably going to stick quite well.
I can already picture the videos of players with these huge sandwiches winning the games and the last-kill cam just showing this absurd food tower on their back. It is going to be so nice! And to top it off, it does not even appear to be a pay-to-win scenario since it is purely cosmetic and it is only meant to showcase the number of kills you have scored.
Thus, you should not miss the opportunity to get Shaggy’s Super Sandwich backbling, which is coming to Fortnite very soon. It will be a hit not only for the casual players who just want a nice burger on their back but also for the competitive players who want to show off their ultimate flex.
