The announcement hit Twitter like a meteor, and the gamers showered the replies with retorts. Some of them are all for it; others aren’t: One player called the skins “ugly” with a vomiting emoji (ouch); the other said, “This is so fire 🔥.” Just like that, the two people represented the longest ends of a spectrum. But hey, that’s always Fortnite-pacing! You cannot overlook it if you love it or hate it.
But while at it, that bee skin. Yeah, the yellow one looking all set to pollinate the entire island. One player shared their preset for it, emphasizing full-on bee mode: Cute or cheesy, you decide! Meanwhile, there are some preparations for the next purchase as someone says they’ll be getting the Bee starter pack this week and maybe the Save the World pack for their birthday. Priorities, man!
But it’s not all smooth sailing: some grumble at Epic for not discounting the Save the World pack for owners. Come on, Epic, give ’em a little treat. Then there’s one guy getting mad because he couldn’t use his entire balance $19.60 for that new pack. Oh, the tragedy.
I’ll almost forget the random chaos in the replies. Somebody wants to know about “jjk returning” (whatever that means), one others asked for “Teto” (??), and you have the classic V-Bucks thread “get a job” remark in there. Never change, Fortnite Twitter.
So maybe these skins aren’t for the masses, but one thing is certain: It knows how to keep an audience engaged. Either buying the new bundles or pointing fingers at them, the hype train is on a roll. And with spooky season just around the corner, there will have to be even more drops.
