Epic Games has confirmed a partnership that will again put your faith in your senses to the test. To put it bluntly, the new game cannot be💀. That’s precisely what the firm tweet about the collaboration stated, and to be frank with you? Feeling it. Something or someone has been introduced into the Fortnite Item Shop that either has the whole community very ecstatic or just completely stunned, and the responses are nothing but jolly chaos.
What’s up for grabs in the shop is… well, nothing could be further from the truth than to say that we will discuss it after the TV news on players’ reactions is over, as it is such a tremendous matter. One of the gamers, Max, observed: “Can you picture someone being given this scenario about 2019, and they are told that this would eventually become part of the Fortnite Item Shop?” His comment could not be more reasonable?? Just think if you could rewind just five years back and talk about Fortnite’s characters and people would label you as insane. Superheroes, anime characters, and now… whatever this is.
The main topic of almost every reply is the “Teto leak” saga, which everyone is discussing. To the extreme, one user declared “The Teto Leaks weren’t real 💀” while another posted “Like that Teto leak huh” along with a laughing emoji. There is clearly some backstory that I am not completely privy to, but based on my understanding, there had been predictions of some character called Teto joining Fortnite, which never came to fruition? It is then that people began connecting the dots between this new character and the Teto intrigue.
Notwithstanding, BeeMaister has asked the most important question, the answer to which everyone is dying to hear: “is the cat really being added to the game?” Wait what was I talking about– oh yes, definitely some cat involved in this? The original tweet included media but from the replies, it appears there is either a cat skin or cat-related content. KyoVR_ even made a remark about “Original cat picture owner losing lots of money” which just adds to the confusion really.
Furthermore, the musical aspect is likely to be a primary factor in this. A lot of people are mentioning new sounds in the lobby, Slumpy_Azul is saying “Setting this as my lobby soundtrack” and SlushiiiSZN adding “I have it as my lobby music lol.” So, one can be sure that new music is coming, and based on my little detective work, it might be linked to … Porter Robinson? Someone with the username “Is Porter Robinson in Fortnite Festival?” flat out asked, “Okay. But what’s that track right next to it?” So it seems that actually, we have Porter Robinson’s music in the game for real.
Darkw0kedexter made some concrete evaluations of the songs: “OIIA is trash but shelter is such a goated pick. Whichever intern picked that one needs a raise.” So, it’s definitely Shelter by Porter Robinson that is in the playlist, and many people are calling it “peak” and “goated.” But then, DumbRedDoge asked, “How the hell did we get this before We Will Rock You and We Are The Champion by Queen dawg LMAO?” which is, indeed, a very good question.
In addition, there seems to be some drama with Miku? Spelchling remarked, “Using Miku & still not addressing Teto IS crazy work💀,” so Hatsune Miku is somehow involved but they are still ignoring the whole Teto matter that gamers have, quite obviously, not forgotten. And NumbiiVT demanded, “WHERE IS SHE SHIINA” with a crying emoji, so there is someone missing that people are really wanting.
The whole situation has players divided into factions. Some are very thrilled – CharybdysseusII just wrote “Yoooooo shelter?? Peak” with tons of enthusiasm. On the other hand, xavier063558182 is not really impressed and just said “no shit bumass,” which is … eloquent. Thomz said “I actually expected it to sound better than this,” so the actual in-game implementation may not be meeting expectations for some.
And of course, the classic Fortnite complaint is about what is NOT in the game despite all these new additions. MightyBizmarck remarked, “And still no Mothman 😞,” because apparently, we can get whatever this new collab is but still no Mothman skin? The priorities, Epic.
The thing that shocks me the most is how normal all this seems now. Fortnite has become a place where every crazy idea is welcomed, and the community is still in a way along with the jokes about the unrealness of everything. The original tweet literally said “this game isn’t real” and honestly? They are right. Nothing would be a surprise anymore – probably, tomorrow we will have a Shrek and Skibidi Toilet collab (which someone actually referenced in the replies, by the way – TheAccelSpeed said, “What are they doing now? You know it’s better than skibbidy toilet”).
So here it is, another day, another Fortnite collaboration that makes no sense but everyone is talking about it. The game still remains a bizarre cultural melting pot where anime, memes, and music are mixed in the most unpredictable ways. You can either love it or hate it, but it is a fact that it is never boring. Now, if you will kindly excuse me, I have to go check the item shop, as I am not only confused but also entertained by the cats, the music, and the ongoing Teto mystery.
