Epic Games has been in the spotlight for another very unusual crossover that has evoked slightly varying responses from audiences, with some people cheering in happiness, others yelling give it, while a good number are confused or intrigued with what this team really has in store. The most recent leaks would have it that K-Pop Demon Hunters cosmetics are to come into Fortnite very soon, and the community’s reaction is… well, very different.

The best leaks coming from ShiinaBR, l3stei, and HYPEX say that there should be a free loading screen as a quest reward, plus new emotes-“Golden” and “How It’s Done”-plus a microphone accessory for only Rumi. Oh ring on the K-Pop Demon Hunters thing. That was just after Mira, Rumi, and Zoey skins conquered the item shop.

Here is where the whole thing takes on more significance. Players are divided on the collab. While a good portion truly love it-Lily (@UrLocalSadEgirl) was in complete agreement saying, “Finally they’re getting the emotes out 😭🙌”-others are totally indifferent. DG Gaming, going back and forth with a bizarre “gonna gonna be virgin” anti-climax, makes no sense-thats Twitter for you.

The real drama, though, is the time itself; everyone wants to know when these are coming out. So many in replies are just blatantly asking “When?” and “Uhuh, and when will that be?” with that impatient gamer energy we’ve all grown familiar with. And there is also the debate on if these should be in the initial bundle or not.

Matthew Vajgrt feels the same way many do when asking: “Those would have been some 🔥 edit styles for KPOP skins!” Well, I mean seriously, what’s keeping these from being alternate styles as opposed to separate items? Because, in true Epic fashion, they’re probably going to make us pay for something that we should have already gotten included for.

And the confusion reigns again-some think the free loading screen is the same one from when the bundle first dropped? Kels asked, “What’s the new free loading screen? Isn’t it the one that we got when the bundle came out?” which of course is a legit question considering how many loading screens Fortnite usually pumps out.

Far more attention right now has gone to the microphones for Rumi. One Rumi fan just asked, “Wdym new microphone for rumi” as they’re ready to main that accessory. Next Larsen wonders, “Where are the jam tracks tho 😭” Beccoause we absolutely must have more K-Pop content?

Are they going to release skins for them later on? That’s the really juicy speculation. Thibaud suggests putting these out as “Mira (demon hunter), Rumi (demon hunter), and Zoey (demon hunter);”” that is definitely something Epic would do. Why sell one skin when you can sell three skins with a little variation?

It’s weird how these have divided the community somewhat. Some are all about the K-Pop aesthetic, and others…are they not? Matcha Foxx just threw in some sarcasm to start warning newer players in comments about how “the way they really think they’re going to get new items for free just because they bought a bundle. 💀😂” That’s veteran battle royale energy right there.

From the international crowd, one Spanish-speaking user claimed that if you don’t like something, that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist. Honestly, that’s the vibe with Fortnite collabs. Not everything has to be catered to everybody, but when Epic puts their weight behind something, they go all the way.

From the dawn of time, the K-Pop Demon Hunters have in fact been a love-it-or-hate-it situation. From the skins to the jam tracks to the additional cosmetics, Epic is really putting everything into the theme. Whether you’re here for the K-Pop vibes or just waiting for the next Marvel collab, PlayStation remains, without a doubt, the most unpredictable game out there.

So watch out for those quests if you want that free loading screen, and maybe, in the meantime, get some time practicing your emotes. The K-Pop Demon Hunters phase is far from over, and who knows what Epic has in store for Mira, Rumi, and Zoey next. Just don’t expect the masses to be on board; at least, that’s just how Xbox rolls nowadays.
