V-Bucks will be the most favored currency in the battle royale game Fortnite for the upcoming Halloween season as the leakage of the Halloween item shop schedules shows the characters of Jason Voorhees, The Grabber from Black Phone, and the Scooby-Doo gang coming to the store. The leak that came from the very credible source ShiinaBR has some characters like Wednesday Addams and the Xenomorph who don’t have the dates yet, but the horror icons and the collaborations will be there for the whole month.
In simple words, this is like the Halloween roadmap for the Fortnite item shop. Starting from tomorrow, the character of The Grabber from the Black Phone movie can be bought – to be honest, the Grabber looks scary but oddly cool. Jason Voorhees, the famous slasher character will be there on October 17th. Then on the next day, it’s time for the Scooby-Doo crew with Velma, Daphne, and Fred – but interestingly no Shaggy or Scooby??? Maybe they are saving them for later.
The real nightmare stuff will happen on October 22nd with Art The Clown from Terrifier – that guy is very disturbing, like more than the usual clown scary. Then the Poppy Playtime characters will be on October 23rd, meaning Huggy Wuggy is going to Fortnite and that’s both cute and frightening at the same time. Maybe R.E.P.O. appears on October 25th – whatever it is, it could be a new original skin probably.
Nightmares have started to torment gamers every day. The characters that are supposed to have “unknown” dates are Wednesday Addams and the Alien Xenomorph that is creating a lot of speculation in the replies from the players who are going crazy trying to guess when they will come. One user DeyhaDeaf thinks Wednesday will be there on the 24th, while others are debating if she would be released after a tournament cup.
The confusion is really apparent.
And the comments section is just pure chaos – people are wondering about the prices, asking when Venom will come back, where are the Resident Evil characters, and one guy is just yelling “WHERE IS THE CAT” with a picture of some cat-like character that I have never seen before. The need for information is definitely clear.
Some gamers make their requests more precise – like one guy asking if Salvador has been updated for a possible return. Other people are complaining that there are too many collaborations and not enough original Fortnitemares skins with Protag_Man stating that “we DO NOT CARE, we just want the dates for the FORTNITE ORIGINAL FORTNITEMARES SKINS” in all caps because it seems the collab fatigue is setting in.
The pricing factor is still a huge question mark – many people in the replies are asking for price info, which is understandable as getting this many skins in one month could wipe out your V-Bucks pretty quick. If your plan is to get all these, well either you should have been saving or be ready to pay a lot.
Isn’t the split between collab and original content interesting? There is a division between the community that wants collaborations and the one that wants original content. Players seem to be divided as some are pleased with Jason and The Grabber and the horror movie stuff while others are like “give me originals” and are moaning over the “useless originals they been giving us” according to Spencer Rouille. No one seems to be getting what they want I guess.
Confusion regarding the timing is widespread – some people are unsure if The Grabber will come tomorrow or Friday, others are correcting that Wednesday is actually the 24th and thus causing general date chaos. It appears that everyone is trying to organize their Halloween skin shopping but the information is not very clear and comes in bits and pieces.
And then there are the random requests – someone is asking about “spice” whatever that means, another person is curious about the “alien earth” whatever that is, and it’s just complete turmoil in the comments. It’s truly the peak Fortnite community behavior.
Epic has clearly made their choice to spice things up for Halloween this year with the mix of horror movie icons, gaming characters, and original creations. The lineup is wonderful, but it is indeed so exciting with the missing dates for Wednesday and Xenomorph. The excitement is there plus the fact that V-Bucks are going to be used in considerable amounts.
The big question is – with such a huge number of skins being released, how many can the players actually afford? And will there be any surprise additions that are not mentioned in the list? Only time will tell, but one thing is sure, Fortnite’s Halloween will be huge this year. It is a good idea to start saving your V-Bucks now because October is going to be a costly month for skin collectors.
