Fortnite has, in fact, brought Bart Simpson into the Item Shop where chaos has reigned as a reaction. Madness in Springfield Battle Royale is everywhere. The official Fortnite account tweeted, “Eat his shorts! Bart is in the Shop 🛹,” accompanied by an unbelievable image of Bart seemingly prepared to go a little loco with his skateboard and the iconic spiky hair.
The replies? Absolutely awesome. The players are going in a crazy manner to the best possible extent.
First of all, everyone wants to know who else from The Simpsons is coming. One gamer @Psycho_Logical3 even directly inquired, “Please when can we expect Krusty? I really want Krusty; he’s one of my favorite characters??” as though they were already planning their whole Simpsons team around him. And @TerracingBTW was like “When does Krusty drop I need him” – absolutely no chill.
But the most crucial question that all of us have in mind is – is it the most crossover skin ever? @InfinityGlock99 brought up “probably the best crossover skin?” and honestly? They might be on to something. Bart’s signature hairstyle and red shorts in the classic Fortnite pose is just… so accurate. @PromptSin correctly pointed out “Bart’s spiky hair and red shorts in that Fortnite jetpack pose are pure fun! 🚀” Who would have believed it that Bart Simpson would be the one to wield an assault rifle?
The sensation is genuine. @Adubzmeta declared “Fortnite is the best game out right now” and @DagmawiBerhan went even further by proclaiming “Let’s all agree that this is the best mini-season of all time” – it is a bold claim but the reality is, with Bart in the picture perhaps they are right.
However, not everyone is completely satisfied. @ventureposting suggested “fix sidekick customization” since Bart is at the same time very cool but still there are some problems to be solved. And @tgraybird was more like almost begging “Update Ballistic please I am begging you please I am on my hands and knees please” – dude, relax, Bart is right there with you!
The weirdest thing would probably be @Javierl81230457’s comment “Wow Sabrina carpenter aunt is in the fortnite shop cool” which… what? Sabrina Carpenter’s aunt? Is there any connection I am not aware of or was it just one of those amusing times when people completely lose their thoughts? Sometimes the comments are just totally off but that is what makes it interesting.
Moreover, people have begun making purchases, @chocoo_web3 shared “Secured 💳” alongside a photo of their purchase – this could not have been a stronger instant buy energy than this one. Furthermore, @FortniteFNLK’s comment “Who needs it? 🎁😍🔥” seems like they are just feeding the hype train that is not going to stop.
However, as usual, every new skin brings demands for MORE. @DjamiIseid calls for “More Stranger Things skins!” and attached a picture of the whole cast, @HER0_0F_HER0S is still waiting for “Bring back All Might” – the My Hero Academia fandom is not going to surrender that one.
What is fascinating is that the players have started to think in terms of tactics. @AceTrainerAce12 suggested “Kill him and use Mystique maybe lol” which is… dark but realistic? On the flip side, @TerracingBTW was concerned about “not getting a single kill after that and transforming 15 times” – it is difficult to maintain a good performance with a cool skin but the struggle is indeed real.
All this just confirmed that Fortnite is still the champion in the crossover game. We have had Marvel, we have had Star Wars and everything else – but Bart Simpson? Such a different cultural mashup level. Not that it is happening, but the crash of Springfield and the island is something that nobody thought they needed, but now that it’s there? It’s a must-have.
And on top of all this is the great timing when @DagmawiBerhan states that this is “the best mini season of all time” – whether it is or not, Bart’s presence definitely adds to the atmosphere.
Therefore, if you haven’t checked the Item Shop yet… what are you waiting for? Bart is there with his skateboard ready to stir some trouble. Just make sure you don’t spend all your V-Bucks on him and then beg for Krusty tomorrow. The cycle continues, but at least we get to digital shorts along the way.
The surprises that Fortnite comes up with in the form of unexpected collaborations are truly amazing. They are now taking their turn at all bases bringing in superheroes and cartoon troublemakers. PlayStation and Xbox players can enjoy these crossovers too.
