March 30th, 2025, will go down in history as that date when the Fortnite item shop blew up crazy. Full lunacy. And you know the usual suspects-a few cool skins and perhaps a couple lame pickaxes-but the real problem? The most talked-about skins did not appear in the shop at all. And fans? Nope.
First, thank you to @iFireMonkey for keeping us in tune with shop rotations-all that, and then some craziness going on in the replies of that tweet! One dude said, “I’m gonna f***ing kill myself from f***ing nemia not being here.” MajestlcLove. Wow. Skin over this? That’s just sad. But I guess when it comes to skins, Fortnite fans take it for serious.
Then it goes on Fishstick. Then @itsmefishstick-officially an appropriate name-demanding, “Huh, now hold on where’s the new Fishstick?!?!?!” Bro even tagged @FreeFarsaFishy like they’re comrades in arms. And poor old F1sk’s just saying, “I was gonna ask for the same…:(” Awww, that’s kind of adorable, tbh.
But it goes on. Some are now serious conspiracy theorists. @RiverHawk111 is raising questions about the selection within the shoes: “That can’t be it in shoes they gotta have messed up on that. There’s usually more pairs.” Like, who even notices the shoes first? This guy, apparently.
Meanwhile, @HipDiscovery profusely polls in between tweets: “How are you feeling about today’s shop? 🤔 My Opinion: Bad.” And then straightaway, “Are you buying anything from today’s shop? 💰⏳” The duality of man. Some of us are just trying to survive the disappointment, and this dude’s already moving on to financial decisions.
Meanwhile, @BendyDevilyt offered up an unconventional existential crisis: “Dealer, my man. Where did they take you…” Like…. What? Who’s the dealer? Who took him? Is this a thing now in the lore??
At least @cahetel_xo loves something: “loss of words, TWD peak though.” Props for the tat going out to all Walking Dead fans, I guess?
Well, if you were waiting for that skin you had been saving your V-Bucks for, too bad. Better luck next time. Or whatever, scream into the void like everyone else. The Fortnite Item Shop giveth and the Fortnite Item Shop taketh away.
