Something else appears to be the drip this time that is unleashed to players in Fortnite. The package has a great mixture of streetwear swag and hypercars. Back in the item shop this week to present such a Vans x Fortnite collab with a cool McLaren Senna car skin and the Deeno fit-as if for the very reason: why not.
Naturally, Epic Games zinged the link to the shop with all the hype attached and with #EpicPartner- Read, flexing their mighty subset partner muscles-which let’s face it, they are.
To start with, here go-ah, the Vans collab. Ever wanted to skate on Tilted Towers in some virtual checkerboard slip-ons? Well, today is your lucky day. The pack has back blings that look like Vans sneakers- because what says, I look stylish even in a battle royale more than accessories for footwear?- together with some killer weapon wraps.
It’s a weird but strangely stunning crossover-Fortnite just radiates that kind of vibe which is chaos and good fun, with Vans, a longtime holder of the unofficial ‘I do cool stuff but also eat pizza in parking lots’ title.
This is the McLaren Senna. Not just any car skin; the car skin for the player who’d want to exhibit his speed dodging bullets. The season for the demand for Senna has been unending, and it gets fulfilled with this-the most glossy ever for a cut-scene view of your in-game driving by Fast & Furious. Add Deeno-his dino skin straddles that fine insanity-and you now have one costume which says, I’m here to win….but I’m also here to vibe.
The shop link Epic put out has already generated buzz, but as for this writing, reply section totally falls silent-maybe people are too busy grinding for V-Bucks to type?
Or maybe the audacity of a virtual sneaker collab has left the community speechless? Either way, this update just makes things a bit stronger, claiming the Fortnite item shop is the epicenter of random but iconic drops.
What next? Gucci glider? Tesla Cyberquad? At this point, nothing is possible. Fortnite does have more power game than any; unless you’re checking the store daily, you might end up missing the next crazy crossover.
So collect those Vans while they are fresh, or just sit pretty and stare at the McLaren Senna, pretending you can afford the real deal along with the rest of the bunch. Also, today is planting day on your calendar to log in.
A current shoe dropping? Not yet, but you’d best believe it’s on a definite hour wait. One person complains about price point, and it opens the floodgates. Until then: enjoy the quiet and the new loot.
