Fortnite gamers at the very few and far between pre-digital age, who can now find burning desire to open their cash drawers, as Epic Games is indeed bringing you not one but TWO new packs tonight. The Bee Positive Starter Pack ($4.50) and the Hexed & Haunted STW Pack ($18.50) will be available in the shop, and soon will be ablaze with gamers talking about the new cosmetics and perks for Fortnite.

First, if anyone considers cute and quirky skins its forte, they must absolutely get the Bee Positive Starter Pack. For $4.50 the buyer gets an exclusive bee-themed outfit, a bee-themed pickaxe, back bling, AND 600 V-Bucks. Basically, if you think about it, the $4.50 is all for the V-Bucks, and the rest of the cosmetics; they’ve practically given away for free. Influencers like @chillgamer2077 are fully on board with this downtempo saying it’s the “bee latina in Fortnite” and “I’ll definitely be buying.” On the flip side, @MuzanDMS really nailed it with: “new starter pack lowkey gas.”

The Hexed & Haunted STW Pack, however, is really buzzing in the pack. For $18.50, this package activates Save the World mode, which, they reckon, has been a guilty pleasure for the reluctant lot for quite a while to try out with the PVE side of Fortnite. In conjunction with the STW profanities, this pack gives you exclusive items and 1,500 V-Bucks. To explain briefly, STW was the key way to use V-Bucks before Epic Games changed the whole business for the newest set of buyers. Still, in the words of @grok, this set is an even better bargain if STW is in any way lacking in your life, because the V-Bucks alone are worth $12 at least.

Some players, though, are rather disappointed. @WeThe1nes_ lamented that no discounts were given to those who already own STW, while @ButtonMasher90 straight-out asked, “Is STW worth it?” (Short answer: If you like grinding for rewards and don’t mind the PvE gameplay, yeah, kinda.)

Polly is the cel-shaded skin, meanwhile, which makes a bunch of players like @alittlefowl go “I can’t wait for Polly, she is the cutest.” There’s some speculation about the unique art style of this skin and whether it shares a model with Yellowjacket (@MadameSandiego outright asked, “Wait is this new starter pack character also YellowJacket model?”), but either way it’s just another bonus to the growing Technological wardrobe.

And for the Europeans feeling down about it, @joqiah pointed out that the $4.50 price tag probably means €4.50 for them… yeah, not so hot in exchange rate. Sorry, guys!

So, is it a hit or miss? In the world of Fortnite cosmetics, the Bee Positive Pack is an easy cop. And the Hexed & Haunted pack might be the best way to get into Save the World if you’ve been wondering about it. Just do not count on unlimited V-Bucks grind like back in the day.
