A fresh content update has just come into Fortnite with a bunch of explosive new toys for players to tinker with. The latest patch introduces Unstable Grenades and Unstable DMRs, plus yet another wave of TMNT Mythics in Blitz. Not everyone is happy about this one; some have even found reasons to call the grenades worthless, while others are embracing the chaos.
The first comes the Unstable Grenade. After bouncing thrice, it does its damage: 40 per bounce and 75 to builds. Has a nice ring, doesn’t it? Well, PawPAdventures has a few words to say on this: “Only one drops from the spires, making it practically useless for carrying.” Yikes! The underrated Unstable DMR shoots a couple of bullets that explode in the instant they hit. This could be huge for mid-range engagements-if you can hit the shots.
Another update comes to the Blitz mode that brings back TMNT Mythics for another go. Not everybody seems to be feeling this. User luxx_xr joked, “Don’t you mean (BLITZ) RVB Mythics Week + More Mythics? 🤣🤣🤣 Man the TMNT Section is pure RvB trash…” It’s brutal tho. However, there is the other side: some others, like 5Kill0r27910, are loving this season and have called it “top 10 best seasons of all time.” Meanwhile, others such as ECLIPS_VC have bluntly pronounced, “this game is still deaddddddddd.”
The responses are whacky. CloudEllie posted a meme about getting killed almost for sure by grenades. Classic Fortnite! Shader responded, “Bro fu that update I don’t play BR I don’t play BLITZ I play reload the best!” Fair enough, brother.
Then there is the eternal argument for whether or not Fortnite matters anymore. A couple of guys like Ham0Ween were already frustrated about the lack of new items in OG Season 4, saying that “We should be getting a new item every 1-2 weeks.” Then, there are others who were happy to be playing, like Karlen Medo, who tweeted, “Playing Fortnite in the big 25.”
So, would you call this update an L, or a W? Depending upon whom you ask. The Unstable Grenade may be worthless, but the DMR will stir the pot. And TMNT fans, you better start answering your Blitz calls. For what it’s worth, Fortnite will go out of its way to keep churning out updates and refreshing the game-at least trying.
Having said that, one thing is absolutely true: the community isn’t lacking for opinions. Be it love or hate, Fortnite is still a talking point. And with rumors swirling around about even more on the way, this season may not be down yet with the surprises.
