Knowledge is power, nanotech is power, and my friend, power is power. Fortnite recently dropped two of the keenest minds from DC into the Item Shop, and the player base has been buzzing ever since. Mister Terrific and The Engineer dropped in today and brought with them plenty of brainpower (and style) to the fight, but as usual, the community has thoughts.
The first: who are these? Mister Terrific, Michael Holt, is one of DC’s brightest superheroes, if we rate him third, behind Batman and Lex Luthor. The man has PhDs in everything it seems, and his T-spheres are a form of genius deputy cheat codes in his hands. Then there is the most powerful Woman of Steel on Earth from The Authority, The Engineer, Angela Spica. Nanotech runs through her veins; she can reconfigure her biology into weapons, armor, or, basically, anything she wants. So~…these girls are more than just skins; these two are a statement well defined.
Other people are rubbing them the wrong way, questioning why these two were picked; one, @toybirdy21, asked plainly, “Why not Hawkgirl or Supergirl?” In response, @Xzand3rman was snarky: “This isn’t the ‘Mister’ I wanted to see come to the game,” probably wishing it was that stretchy leader from Fantastic Four. Then @REDX459 was off with reports of a bug concerning Mister Terrific’s back bling not behaving correctly—because, of course, there has to be a bug on launch day.
Now, onto other usual requests: Holding on to Day 66 for Arcane skins is @SpyderSting_42, while @Yosuke1512_ begs for the next wave of collabs from My Hero Academia, and @MrUnknown2465 is on day seven for the Kehlani emote’s return. Let us not forget @Noex384, who just wants those shield bubbles to disappear from Blitz mode like Flat-Earth. Priorities, everyone.
Small victories: @tylerayyeee is knifing for joy, finally using their creator code for the very first time.
These skins are sleek and shiny and definitely for the hardcore DC fans: Mister Terrific in his icon jacket and goggles, The Engineer sadistically smiling with that nanotech sci-fi glow. Basically, it’s a USD 100 billion question: are they worthy of your V-Bucks? Is it worth your ego to outsmart your opponents, literally?
So, yeah: what we know best: random collaborations, divided debates, and the most unpredictable Item Shop. Will they stay around for long? Possibly not. But for now, knowledge is power—and there goes another well-timed headshot.
