Three skins have entered Fortnite, and in typical Fortnite fashion, this is one of those nightmares no one ever thought possible-but now everyone is obsessed with it. Bob Belcher from Bob’s Burgers, Hank Hill from King of-the-Hill, and Cleveland Brown from Family Guy officially become playable characters, and the reactions-must I even say?
Then, the world-wide internet went bonkers after HYPEX’s tweet; while some gamers enjoyed the absurdity of such a crossover, others just wanted to know why in the world these characters were chosen to be characters. Some say this is brilliant; others… well, the dirty looks say it all. But one thing is certain: Fortnite will always surprise its playerbase with collaborations this weird.
One of the earliest responders, Aussie Jon, favored the skins, saying: “They genuinely just look like the characters brought to life,” and that statement set off a fiery debate with Justin, who completely disagreed. “You can literally see how messy and low-res the linework is,” Justin said. Ouch.
Another half of these players reacted emotionally. “F MY BANK IM BUYING CLEVELAND BROWN I DONT CARE RAAH,” screamed in all caps by Mud Jeffy, showing how zero chill some gamers have when it comes to their beloved cartoons. TronStylias just replied, “Oh no,” with crying emojis. Honestly, that’s just the vibe of disbelief.
Yet others were not enthused just yet. AgentBx of France exclaimed, “🤮I always hated this series, I don’t know why,” while ClarkKent/Superman elaborated on all their disdain for the rest of the characters and said he’d only be down if Nightwing was in. Tough crowd.
Then, there is the entire debate: Are these skins fresh, or are they just recycled nostalgia bait? Olking07 sounded tired and unimpressed, but ShovelTrigger said, “Who the hell’s ‘We’? I infact want more recycled TV relics because they’re fun.” And I mean, same.
While some have an upcoming batch they are wishing for, one Matt demanded Stan Smith from American Dad and “fat Peter Griffin,” to which Randy’s World agreed, “Yes!! And we can’t forget about Stan from American Dad.” Epic Games, listen.
Then there’s Blanc, probably the most relatable ever: “Can’t believe Bob has the same last name as me ðŸ˜.”
The skins aren’t in the shop yet (are they?), but the hype-and memes-are already rife. Whether you love these skins or hate them, one thing is for sure: This madness of crossovers from Fortnite is here to stay.
With this in mind, who will grab a Bob Belcher skin first? Or is everyone holding out for that first propane-fueled victory royale with Hank Hill? Whew, trillions of conversations are about to commence on this.
