If you are on Twitter, then you may have seen the Buzz that has been going on today. Fortnite isn’t dropping one big thing tonight — there’s the new Crew Pack skin and elite Zadie in the Item shop, and people can’t contain their excitement! Frankly, the replies are beyond anything I have seen before.
Let’s get on the same page first. The Fortnite Crew subscription is a monthly twelve dollar payment that gives you a Battle Pass (if you don’t have one), an exclusive skin, and some V-bucks. And for the many players in the replies, tonight’s Crew skin is “the best crew pack skin of all time”—which, for the record, is saying a lot because other shops have had some decent skins. With prominent players like @liambarnett620 praising it with fire emojis, you know it is legit.
But the real highlight has to be Elite Zadie. That skin has been on everyone’s wish lists, and it’s finally landing in the item shop. People are already debating her price. The hot topic Zadie is “How much will Zadie be?” and the questions are polarised with most seeming to agree on 1200 V-bucks. Some are saying even 1500. @Leozzarios commented “very popular… so I doubt she’ll be any cheaper than that!” which is true since Fortnite knows how to price their hyped stuff.
And the excitement is palpable. “I’m 100% buying elite zadie tonight’s item shop” was said by @ChrisXanttopou1 and, honestly I concur with him. The vibe is best captured by @RxpidSplyx who was shouting “Im Excited LETS GOO ELITE ZADIE!!” It is one of the most wanted skins, even though some of the descriptions are a bit vague? @Ch103Sparkle told someone else “It’s just her in black” which admittedly isn’t super descriptive but hey, sometimes simple does the trick.
Also, why two skins this month? @IlestVrais asked “Why 2 skins this month?” which, for a causal observer, is a reasonable question with the assumption being one skin is all we usually get from the Crew pack. But hey, more choices for players I guess? Not everyone is happy: “I know what im not doing tonight” @ConvictTrader69 said, probably referring to not buying anything, and to @4MADEUSW4STAKEN who took it further with “I won’t buy crew till we get a good skin” so I suppose, there are mixed feelings.
Some players are already planning their locker combos with the new skins. @ll0ydz5r0 mentioned “I have a locker combo in mind. Yep, dark aether time” which sounds cool but I am clueless on what that means. As for @RemedyRegna, saying “Eating good tonight” totally vibes with Fortnite drops.
And oddly enough, lots of folks are looking for Beavis and Butthead? @Billybo26922966 and @PierceLloyd3 both called them out, with Pierce going as far as to say “We want Beavis and butthead” with an accompanying pic. Then there’s @vvLOKIvv who is wishing for “The great cornholio soon” with a praying hands emoji. So yeah, I guess that’s a thing now? Fortnite collaborations are always out there.
Going back to the Fortnite update, the release is quite serious conversation. @solid_dropout is chill with “I’m shit outta luck but hey I kinda expected that price. FN knows they’ll make bank on a simple skin that’s hyped up lol”, to which I agree. I think @aishin0bi guessed “it’s gonna be 1.2-1.5” with a nail polish emoji for some inexplicable reason. In the meantime, @PUNTO_Z3RO looks to have posted a screenshot labeled as confirmation for 1200 V-bucks, which I haven’t yet confirmed, but might as well be the price.
Regardless of it being the Crew pack or just Elite Zadie, this is the update to look forward to. People have quite literally waited for this and the vibes coming from Twitter are on a whole other level. As @rexxgta stated, “Big W for both skins!
