Epic Games sneaked in an update for Fortnite and Rocket League, but the players aren’t happy about it. Upon launch of the two new Battle Bus decals, a hotfix was issued to reflect their proper names in Rocket League. Cool, cool-but here comes the real tea: this might mean a shop release in the near future. And by near future, we mean hopefully before the next ice age, because player bases have been waiting for that forever.
While iFireMonkey’s original tweet simply highlighted the hotfix, the replies? Oh, pure frustration. Players still haven’t received their Battle Bus items; some have never even received their OG Battle Bus whatsoever from the Llama-Rama event, while others have been utterly confused as to why they’re only getting the tires and decals-but not the bus. What glitch-ridden BS is this?
One player, @_xZynex_, expressed just about everyone else’s emotion: “And im still waiting for Battle Bus in my fn locker 🥲 bc i still didnt got it.” Same, buddy; same.
Then there’s @nightshark101, who made it known how exasperated he is from the situation: “When the fuck am I getting mine in rocket League like actually wtf dude it’s been way too long.” Yeah, mood.
There are some players who have now become conspiracy theorists: Basically, the gamers seem to think Epic will probably charge an arm and a leg for these decals after they’re put on sale. @byfermamba joked, “watch them charge $20 for a bus skin like we’re not all broke and traumatized from 2020 💀.” Ha, no, thanks.
On the positive end, @SeanLia4 thinks that Epic should also get the white decal variant and Reboot Van designs in the shop. That would indeed be nice, but basics first, okay?
Meanwhile, @Jinx_SniperGod wants to alert the scene to a leaker war: “I’ll be a better leaker than iFireMonkey.” Okay, sure. Good luck with that.
The real question: When is Epic gonna fix this? Some have been waiting for weeks, some for months. And the replies are more or less the same complaint: “Where’s my Battle Bus?” @KayjiOden bluntly said: “Can’t fucking believe I still don’t have my battle bus in the locker yet. @FortniteStatus wtf is going on.”
So yeah, they’re gluing the decals, but the bigger problem remains. The players want what was promised to them. Until then, it’s just sitting here, refreshing our lockers and hoping Epic gets it together.
And if you are one of the lucky ones who actually had their Battle Bus delivered to them? Congrats, the rest of us will be here. Possibly shedding a few tears.
In the meantime, check out another article discussing more about Fortnite collaborations.
