Mediatonic has just announced something awesome for all Fall Guys players, and they just brought back the Slimescraper time-limited mode to play again! They didn’t just announce it but also warned players with a very clear statement “do not fall”. Well, falling is similar to racing but less fun, plus, being told to “try to win” instead is not that much better. But at least they took care of this, right?

So what is Slimescraper then? If there is someone who is new or just forgot, Slimescraper is the one of the funniest and most difficult slime obstacle courses where one has to constantly climb while the rest of the world is trying to push him down. It is total madness for gamers, the kind that makes them addicted and at the same time frustrated with Fall Guys. The mode is back only for a limited time allowing players to conquer the slimy towers.

However, the community’s reaction to the comeback was mixed; they showed at least two extremes – excitement and hilarity. For example, DavidHumanezCWW🎃 was ecstatic and expressed it by saying, “Welcome back!! Also, I am happy that Slimescraper is back in the game. Slime Scrapper is one of my favorite rounds because I love the rising lava theme.” So, indeed, there are gamers who have been looking forward to the revival of the mode for the entire season.

On the other hand, NextStrat Esports Lounge came up with this absolute gem of a reply: “But we thought the name was Fall, Guys and now we are being told NOT to fall?” That one actually made me spit out my drink. They are, however, not wrong as the complete premise of the game is to fall in an amusing manner still, so it is somewhat contradicting to advise not to fall.

Just like every other time, the fans straightaway turned the conversations into what these Twitter chats usually evolve into – players inquiring about different game modes and the future of Fall Guys. PainfulGuy10 couldn’t help but dream about Sweet Thieves being included in the core shows and consequently he said: “Lets me enjoy this round anytime instead of waiting 4512541 years for that LTM to finally come back.” And, honestly, mood. More often than not, waiting for your most loved limited-time mode to come back feels like waiting for several millennia.

Nonetheless, the community is presently divided, that’s for sure. BeanVaulted openly challenged the developers saying: “Sorry but you should say something about the future of the game. Come on, October is nearly over?” with a crying emoji. Moreover, JaxsonWoo was even more direct saying: “we still need answers epic…” So, although some players anticipate Slimescraper’s return others prefer to be more vocal about the lack of communication regarding the game’s long-term direction and are thus exercising it through indirect participation.

With that, comes chaos in a random way, which is what Twitter is all about. VoiceOverDonnyTV offered some completely useless advice: “If you are looking for hot chicks, here is a tip: go outside.” How’s that related to Fall Guys? Not at all. But it is just so funny that it works.

Some gamers, on the other hand, already faced some issues. The crux of Brad’s inquiry was “What is the procedure for player reporting who are being a-holes and ruining others’ experience during this event?” which gives the impression that Slimescraper’s return is bringing about the worst in some beans. Or the best, depending on how you choose to see it.

The discussion between tique70 and FFA_Bean took an absolutely absurd twist as they were rapping about “Fall Guys Chapter 2: Ultimate FFA Rebooted Reimagined Remaked Knockout SSS1” which literally could be a result of putting a title generator for Kingdom Hearts. Nevertheless, it is a very strong indication that the players are really eager for substantial new content beyond the rotating LTMs

The Party Animals comparisons still ride on. joaoc_fgfb_2024 outrightly asked “Is this game still alive? I have not played it for months. Party Animals is an option and more fun, unfortunately.” Ouch! That must be quite painful for the Fall Guys team. But to be honest, among the physics-based battle royales, Party Animals has been the one that got the most attention lately.

Interestingly, the players are quite concerned about the exact modes. The discussions about Sweet Thieves and Treat Thieves in the chats clearly point out that players do have solid preferences for bringing the right limited-time modes into the permanent ones. Jackjillz and PainfulGuy10 were continuously arguing about Treat Thieves being a weekly show or just holidays in October. It is such trivial things that players actually connect to.
