A developer teasing Elite Zadie’s release in the item shop confirms the skin leaks and rumors for everyone and Epic Games has just sparked a Fortnite storm of conversation, yet again.
Now, focusing on Elite Zadie, this definitely is not an “ordinary” cosmetic drop. Dataminers like iFireMonkey had already reported shop assets for the skin in the latest update. So, this release from Epic is all the confirmation the community was looking for.
The reactions are indeed varied. For example, this user who’s “finally! my main is coming” and added in celebration emojis is over the moon, and the users on the opposite end of the spectrum are behaving the epitome of disenchantment, acting as if the last thing that struck the state of Fortnite is the equivalent of a world war. The opposite end of user spectrum is someone that rages and types in caps, disagreement, “NOOOOOO IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OG THIS CANT HE HAPPENING TO ME NOOOOOO EPIC YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME I PAID $5000 FOR THIS SKIN!!!!!!!!!”
Clearly, Zadie’s not worth $5000 to anyone, but the sentiment is real. A segment of the Fortnite playerbase seriously assumed Elite Zadie would be a cup-only reward. And now that Epic has unequivocally announced the skin will be available for anyone to buy, the Fortnite discord is split.
In the thread’s comments, someone proposed that the tournament victors be awarded skins with the winner’s number printed on the skin, to make the prize more exclusive, which I think Epic should definitely implement, as it is a good suggestion.

From my observations, the skin in assets looks kind of cool. It looks like an elite warrior which seems to always do well in the shop. And since it was already in the files, you know Epic was planning this drop in advance.
Is there any Fortnite player eagerly anticipating a skin like this? Because its appearance is a strong reason to check the shop daily. Along with the competitors, who at times spend ridiculous amounts on account trading and all that (which you really should not engage in, by the way), certain skins become its own whole economy.
This changes nothing about the fact that, at the end of the day, it’s a cosmetic that only changes your avatar’s physical appearance. hype is definitely there and the shop will undoubtedly see a lot of traffic with the first drop of Elite Zadie. People have been waiting for the skin for a while and Epic has officially teased Zadie.
The comments left by some of the players saying they would buy the skin to “piss off the nerds who thought it would only be obtainable through the cup,” is pretty amusing. The toxicity of the Fortnite community definitely knows how to keep up.
With Elite Zadie’s release approaching, and looking at the reactions already shared online, it’s quite clear that there isn’t a middle ground in the Fortnite community division. Watch the item shop closely.
While the topic of skins was going on, someone in the replies asked for “Indigo kuno next,” so maybe that’s one of the skins Epic is planning. The cycle of teases, leaks, and releases continues. After all these seasons, it’s impressive how Epic still keeps content fresh.
If you have been waiting for the Elite Zadie, it will be out for purchase soon. My only suggestion would be to avoid spending $5000 on the skin. Doing so would be … unwise. What was I saying about money again? Just forget it, and unwind with the new skin Epic teased as dropping tomorrow night.
