Has Epic Games again approached the Fortnite community for some ideas on what the Fortnite Crew subscription might offer? They keep making all these surveys, it’s just crazy how hard they’ve tried to listen down the years. But are these ideas ever going to be implemented, or are they just for show? Who knows?
Well, in short, the big things to find out are monthly Battle Pass levels, which would be huge for gamers with little time to grind, instant unlocking of a full Battle Pass page, and DLC V-Bucks in overflowing amounts every alternate month, of course, bargains on options for multi-month purchases also have to be highly featured for long-term Crew subscribers.
But then, here comes the feedback, and that is quite the interesting part. There are so many people requesting the return of skins that one person literally said, “Bruhhh bring back older crew skins,” and, honestly, I feel like I have to agree! Give me my skin back; it was so unfair to lose out on one skin I wanted so badly. Then again, there is the whole exclusivity thing—there are players stating, “No, they are exclusive. If you missed it, too bad,” and they keep arguing with others who say it is unfair to lock away such content forever. It’s quite a saga.
The Rocket League credit suggestion can also be spotted. “rocket league credits!!!!” says one of them; which makes sense, seeing that Epic owns Rocket League, too. More cross-game benefits sound better. The other one simply replies that the “auto claim” feature was removed, “Just bringing back AUTO CLAIM would be a great start.” – why would they remove something so useful in the first place. So confusing.
Boy, the Battle Pass arguments are steaming hot! Some players demand that old Battle Passes, which they failed to complete, be unlocked. Like, if you bought the pass but didn’t have time to complete it, shouldn’t you be able to finish it later? However, others strongly disagree and say it would be a “slap in the face” to those who had already “grinded” or paid to finish them whilst they were available. One of them told, “any battle Pass/battle pass cosmetics Before Chapter 5 Season 4 should NOT rerelease under any circumstances.” So, yes, very strong opinions on both sides.
The crew pack complaints are even on the rise. Which means that someone is saying that the current crew misses an emote it is supposed to include, while someone else is talking about how sometimes they separate cosmetic sets-very annoying when you are expecting a full outfit. These little things really make subscribers feel cheated.
The old bit about not keeping the battle pass if you don’t renew. If you only log on one month you’ll get a current season battle pass then you don’t renew then maybe you’ll lose access to claim more rewards, kind of sad. One user spelled it out, “You don’t keep any passes. You keep your rewards according to your levels earned, but if you don’t renew, you don’t keep anything.” So it basically means you keep what you’ve unlocked so far, which is better than nothing, but still.
This call for greater variance in Crew items, therefore, one suggestion is: “Give us an item for each cosmetic (Skin, Car, Back bling, Kicks, Weapon Skin, Emote, and a Glider). That would definitely help make each month’s pack feel more complete.” Permanent double XP?? South combos would be insane, but probably too good to be true.
It’s so interesting that Epic was trying to gauge what people want while at the same time being frustrating because there are some things they should have already known. Better skins, better value, and not taking features away that people liked…common sense stuff. But hey, at least they are asking.
All in all, the Fortnite Crew could mean something but needs work. Players want way more content for their money, a little bit of flexibility, and maybe some access to older content. Whether Epic will implement these changes, no one knows for sure, but the conversation is taking place. So with the community being this loud, maybe they’ll be forced to listen soon or later. Or maybe not. Who knows?
