Some strange tweet from FromSoftware has stirred the Elden Ring community into a frenzy. “Veil thyself in shadow, and let thy dagger be a whisper of steel upon cursed flesh,” it says, with the official invitation link to the ELDENRING NIGHTREIGN Discord server, and we are just going into news about how players are literally losing their minds in the reply section.
First and foremost, what even is Nightreign? The million-rune question. The tweet doesn’t really say anything; it just sets a vibe that is giving huge Shadow of the Erdtree DLC piques—or new PvP mode vibes? Anyways, there’s a race in the server to join the Discord and then proceed to theorize and demand fixes for issues that are there.
One activator, in particular: @Willl_92 inquired directly about voice chat in the game. Well, Bro; we pretty much know that IntoSoft entails no support for such a thing whatsoever—the clans are up for silent invasions and phantom gestures in the Lands Between. But hey! One cannot blame a Tarnished for trying.
Then there’s @Gangsta4204 begging for content: “nothing to grind for.” Have you SEEN the freaking size of Elden Ring’s map, bro? But then again, oh yeah, grind for drip and weapons.
Performance issues were next on the table: @T3AGANN cited stuttering and frame drops, with @lukmills replying that they really hadn’t experienced any except a brief patch of stuttering halfway through Malenia’s second phase (honestly, I still cannot get over that transition).
Real drama, though? It was the argument on whether FromSoft is a “small indie company” (lol). @RONMALAGO sardonically accused them of being one, while @WallyWibbl84488 came to the defense of the studio on a “less than 450 employees” basis and “working on multiple projects,” meanwhile, @Messenger699 is wasting energy worrying about an argument over Dark Souls 2 bosses as if it isn’t 2014 anymore.
Also, @RudebxiShawty mentioned a nasty bug where runs end prematurely even if Wending Graces are active. That’s painful as hell, a terribly cruel way of losing progress in a punishing game.
And the Discord itself—the ominous unknown still has to reveal what goes on within, but you know it’s going to be some glorious concoction of lore theories, memes, and salt. If you want to get in on this, the link is still up. Go check it before the servers implode.
Bottom line: Elden Ring players have news to be fed with, and this cryptic tweet dropped merely a single grape into a den of wolves. Whether Nightreign is DLC, an event, or just a fancy Discord title, the hype train is departing from the station. Choo-choo, Tarnished.
