Another colossal matter is developing in the sports-gaming field and will probably lead to yet another huge NCAA shot. The game that went ahead and coined the promotional phrase “More voices. More representation. The Club is Yours” seems to have taken players absolutely berserk at the time. Very serious now: the comments are full of hype gestures, admiration, and one man telling us that women playing soccer is not a thing. (lol, okay).
One needs to look into Rodman’s involvement – like she has been this huge favorite in EA Sports FC -formerly FIFA – for quite some time. Players are just excited for her return with @TattooedTekkers replying, “You’ve had some amazing cards in FC25, can’t wait to use your cards again in #FC26.” I will be arguing against it: Her cards have literally been cracked into Ultimate Team, and if EA keeps that in for FC26, defenders have a rough time coming.
Representativeness is beyond the shoot-and-radio-reason-making: Rodman is loving it in the replies: from @jp9424491092592 who calls her their “favorite on the game” up-to @RobertoSavi78 joking about “her cards being very strong” (understatement of the year). @KgosiMolapisi13G even chiming with “Hope they got yo celly on there,” because, honestly, celebrations are half the fun.
And not everybody is sold on this. @elay_micha gave it a shot with “Literally nobody cares about Women football,” but then @FranktonJR clapped her back: “Yet here u are. 😂” And honestly, that’s the vibe we need. The fact that EA Sports is pushing for women’s football more than ever—with stars like Rodman front and center—is a win-win, haters notwithstanding. That might just be the very win we needed.
The release date is tentatively set on September 26, and things look big for FC26 from the teaser. More voices, more representation… what else? The tweet didn’t want to spoon-feed, but judging from prior games, we probably have some changes on gameplay, some new modes, and more NWSL and women’s league integration.
Definitely hype; @Speedracer2141 declared it’s gonna be his collection joint, while @FCBTimme said it would “destroy the whole world” with Rodman on Ultimate Team. Is that dramatic? Maybe. Is that true? Most definitely so.
So, calendar-marking and reminder-setting are in here, saying that EA Sports FC 26 is coming on blazing. And if you haven’t yet disrespecting women’s football, that is your loss. Play.
