Techland released a new look at Dying Light: The Beast, and gamers can’t get enough of the farmlands in Castor Woods. The tweet, accompanied by scenic visuals, has gotten gamers super excited for what was certainly set to be another hard-hitting entry in the Dying Light series. Their excitement created an uproar of questions from the gaming community, though.

First of all, those farmlands look chef’s kiss spectacular. Like, the lighting, the textures, and that waving eerie ambiance all are on the highest levels. One of the players, Manuel (@undeadahead66), called the scene “so beautiful,” and I would agree. Even The Ghost (@Alex38449627) chimed in, calling the game “amazing.” With comments like these, the hype train is sure to go full steam ahead.

But some aren’t ready to blindly hop on. RK (@rick35711955) asks a very valid question: How long is the game going to be? And more importantly, is it going to avoid the mistakes Dying Light 2 went through? That launch was… rough in parts, and so players are rightfully cautious. Techland has yet to fill in those details, but let’s hope that they have learned internally from their mistakes.

On to the physical versus digital copy inquiries again. Samu (@samu_snchz_) asked, “Will there be a physical copy for PS5?” While Commander Console (@COMDRConsole) went right for the throat: “No physical copy. No purchase.” Ouch. Meanwhile, Mark (@Happygrampy) keeps his fingers crossed for early download of Deluxe Edition on Xbox that saves him from server hell… good call.

Character returns? Or their lack thereof? ThEmperorrr (@Hknsnygt16) wants to find out if supposed fan favorites like Hakon, Lawan, and Aiden will show up. Being obviously Crane-centric, those queries are justified for The Beast. Would they appear as cameos or easter eggs, or are they shelved indefinitely? Time will tell.

Then, the Switch query emerges. Armiustav (@Armiustav) straight-up inquired about “Switchlands,” specifically Switch 2. Heavy move considering Nintendo has yet to confirm this. But hey, a gamer can dream, right?

Yet, the hype is real. RockStation (@rockstationonx) is “so hyped,” and Sarrow Voltsy (@xvoltsy) is counting days until the 22nd of August. Even TheGamingOnlyGuy (@TheGamingOnly) dropped a meme of himself being impatient-none of us can ever relate.)

So, what that means: Dying Light: The Beast promises to be a visual stunner with loads of potential. However, there are questions about length, performance, physical copies, returning characters; in other words, Techland has some answering to do. All we can do for now is wishlist it and hope that it delivers.

The farmlands surely at least look great to paint a smile on your face. Now about those scarecrows…
