In the South-East corner of the glade, under a great maple, Techland gave away exciting new information on Dying Light: The Beast-Everything is being set on making gamers excited. The devs promised a living world with an infinite number of little stories in every nook and corner. And, on top of that, your playstyle will be influenced by the environment itself! Playing became more than just smashing zombies.

One of the tweets from the Dying Light account insinuated the depth of the game, saying the team wanted something “rich and alive.” The fans really loved that, and some were quite vocal in the replies. This one fan named Maco said, “Can’t wait for this game,” whereas TheGamingOnlyGuy titled it Game of the Year potential! What wonderful praise indeed.

But hey, what goes up, must come down. Some players lament the lack of a physical release. Brendan Chwascinski had to break it to DarkStar Paranormal Gear: “I have bad news for you it’s digital only.” Ouch! The physical collectors must be enraged, but at least it clears shelf space.

Not long after, The Beast was set about the East Village of could it really defeat Dying Light 2. Going back to this, Brendan said, “All it needs to do is beat Dying Light 2.” Yet to be honest, for some fans nothing shall dethrone the OG Dying Light. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

Speaking of nostalgia, one player, Stealthy_Zombie, compares the new setting, Castor Woods, to Harran, the location from the cherished first game. “Harran was just so damn great,” he or she continued, hoping that The Beast would bring back some of that magic.

“Along with the usual requests for co-op, photomode and hardcore survival where you have to eat and drink,” Reginald Larsen chimed in with: “realism mode, because parkour zombies aren’t hard enough already.”

Techland still has not really confirmed everything-anyway if Legend Levels are back or if there is going to be a Ukrainian localization for The Beast. But one thing looks assured: Dying Light: The Beast looks like the game everybody is talking about. Whether it ends up shearing expectations, we hopefully will find out soon enough.

Meanwhile, it is already on Steam for wishlisting. Just don’t expect them to make a disc release. Sorry, collectors.
