The new tweet from Techland teasing Dying Light: The Beast drove the gamers wild with those cozy cabins. The official account posted an inviting and sunny screenshot with the caption, “Who wouldn’t want to spend their summer in one of those delightful cabins?” and linked it to the pre-orders. However, while the view is calming, all hell has broken loose in the replies section.
Foremost invasion: Bober, the giant beaver, from the Dying Light 2 viral meme. There was a demanding cry by one user: “Need a Bober outfit for Crane or even the chance to find a zombie wearing Bober’s outfit.” Another demanded a tad more: “Put his outfit into the game and make him a boss too as a zombie.” Honestly? Same mood. Somehow, Bober DLC, or nothing at all.
Crossplay is another issue on the minds of everyone: “Can you guys please add crossplay between different platforms?” pleaded another player. I right behind her! I mean, multiplayer is literally the backbone of Dying Light; denying players to play together just because they are on different systems ought to be an act of treason. Call gaming police.”
Then there is the PvP crowd. “Is there going to be PvP at some point post-launch?” another player inquired, and I mean, that’s a very fair question. The first game featured the “Be the Zombie” mode, and fans are all itching for something equally crazy for The Beast.
Talking about hardware requirements, because honestly, does anyone not run on RTX 4090?- “What will be the hardware requirements?” one player asked. I think we are all wondering the same thing. So will these be supported on our toaster PCs, or will that mean upgrading?
Then comes the patience-exhausted crowd. “Ahhhh come out already, I needs to play,” whined one player. Another simply asked the question, “Can we play now?” Bruh, same. The waiting sucks.
But that one drama is the funniest: An entire debate as to if by then summer would be through. “Don’t I want to be that guy but summer will essentially be over when the game releases,” one player said, to which so many replied: “Nope only for teenagers and kids adults the other hand still got summer left.” How that turned down into a full-throttle conversation about seasons is some hardcore gamer energy.
Pre-orders are up and running, the hype is building, and the players are trying to set up their dream scenarios of either fighting a zombified Bober or surviving with their friends on different platforms. Judging from the replies, this is one crazy ride. Can Techland just give a confirmation on crossplay and Bober DLC?
