So the other day @drdisrespect dropped this tweet. It glows: LIVE in 30 minutes, The Nuke Returns? The narration then continues to that famous biography about being the Two-Time Back-to-Back 1993, 1994 Blockbuster Video Game Champion, like duh-we all know-how famous he is, but that guy just has to say it every time! Now he’s trying to win five consecutively with @BobbyPoff to instigate the BOOM immediately having his signature yayayayaya. That’s just the kind of stuff only The Doc would do.
The replies are all over the place. It’s an interesting mix of the truly excited like @PsychoMadTv, who basically says, “Yayayayayayay Hope to see you on THEFINALS DOC 😎 yayayaya !!!!” with a gif. Then comes @BobbyPoff replying, “Booom Booooom!!!! Yaya,” so it’s clear these guys are super engaged in whatever this is about. And they also have their haters. One guy @flippyflopzz gets all “Same pedo dressing up for kids, loss the act, bro,” just unnecessarily negative. Then @JediahL63288 claps back: “The only pedo I see here is the one with a Disney Scrooge McDuck pfp,” which is like a step 101 of internet arguments.
The overall energy has erupted for some unwitnessed streams. @SirWinston85 chimes in: “Today’s stream is going to get radioactive ☢️!!” Just dripping with the nuke thing. Then @TaylorR51014388 announces: “Can’t wait to hear Bobby get the flusters 😂,” which I’m sure will be the case, considering he gets flustered every time they actually try for that big win. According to @BigCadillack says, “And if any of you wanted to know… yes, today will be hacker free. I almost guarantee it,” like yeah, funniest thing, ‘almost guarantee.’
The wild thing, though, is the mention of all sorts of games. @Octopussandwic2 talks about the new battlepass and map for Battlefield 2042 this weekend: “Let’s F’n GO!!!” with a gif, while several others, including @PsychoMadTv and @Ligma0079, encourage playing THEFINALS. @EggooYT is particularly precise, asking Bobby to “Get him on the burst AUG please Bobby,” probably a weapon in the game they are playing. Of course, @MisterG34 had to be the guy interjecting: “Last I saw no one likes COD anymore.” Thanks for that input, dude.
And the energy is ridiculous. @TheArchitect83 goes, “YASSS! LFG Champs Club 😎,” with @ObeyCreates following up with the confident “Yayayayayayaayayyyayayay I’ll be watching later doc, you’ll probably have the five wins by the time I get home 💪💪💪 haha 👊.” Then, in complete disregard for the flow, @SmoothCat drops the bomb: “NUKE TIME!! 🤯 💥,” which everyone’s probably thinking.
A parallel conversation sees @flippyflopzz flogging his pedo accusations at Doc, with @Ligma0079 rushing to his defense: “He’s not a pedo prove it where are his chargers where are his convictions? Yeah, he plays a character did you ever watch the WWE? It’s the same thing entertainment…” A never-ending Dockeragio with real-life stuff.
Then @MCSilas97 rocks the boat, “Ain’t Happening Without Rallied I’m Sorry To Say But Hey I’d Love Nothing More Than To Be Proven Wrong…” Which feels like, thanks for the encouragement, man. While @JPancakes90 posts a gif of someone celebrating with “Nukes champs yayaya”, so you know which team he’s on.
Typical mash-up of excitement mixed with drama mixed with game requests and everything that usually surrounds Doc’s streams. They want him to play The Finals; they want him to play Battlefield. They’re arguing about his character. They’re hyped about the nuke attempt. They’re joking about Bobby losing it. Typical Champions Club chaos.
And perhaps the stream will be described in returning terms: Inexhaustible chaos. Doc and Bobby trying to set an unprecedented five wins in a row in any game they’re playing, probably Call of Duty, based on the nuke references. The nuke is the ultimate killstreak reward that ends the game instantly, so setting it off is the biggest flex you can do. Hence BOOM and all the exploding bar emojis being raised.
Whether they do or don’t pull it off is a totally different story. The five-win streak is hard to do with any competitive game these days, especially given the skill-based matchmaking. And given all the hackers Doc always complains about. But that’s why the entertainment value is there. The attempt itself is the content. The fails. The almosts. And, if they do, the huge celebration.
Now, with all these game requests, maybe they’ll change things after. The Finals seems to be the main game people want to see them play. That makes total sense since it’s the new hot thing right now. But, knowing Doc, he’s gonna pick whatever he feels like playing that day, and that’s usually Warzone or Modern Warfare III. But hey! You never know.
