Dr Disrespect – The two-time block buster game Mr. has made quite the announcement that he shall be taking a break from that so-called “Borezone” (right, there’s that comfy chair we all come to agree on) for a dive into the Off The Grid. Everything has gone crazy over this by the Champions Club.
The Doc had shot his sniper tweet almost thirty minutes prior to the stream announcement; “This ain’t no game, it’s a war,” classic Doc pun. With this ominous tweet also came all links to his stream and a hype clip that sent gamers into a frenzy.
You see, Off The Grid is still not quite a household name at this point, but with Doc’s gaze set on it, that might change anytime soon. Game analyst @MewnProfessor called it “the sickest up-and-coming game in the world,” to which others responded with mixed reactions. Some, like @DannoLUFC, would suggest that there are so many pros in the game that “rinse you in seconds,” while @thisistoofar went on and called COD “lame af” compared to it.
On the flip side, other resistors will not like the idea of Doc ducking out of COD. @Enigma100x replied, “Naw COD needs you bruhh we all good over on OTG” while @duck1920 expressed a feeling of betrayal, screaming, “What is this shit ??? U plying COD !!!💀”. It was really the drama.
The reply section carved itself up into this mad battleground of insult exchanges between @BatmansBatz and @ZzOnPointzZ, each hurled at high-speed comparable with that of a BR match. “Your Twitter is depressing, give up lmfao,” fired BatmansBatz, with OnPoint shouting back, “I have proof!!” (Proof of what? We may never know.)
And then came the memes. @BenjaminRamosPS gave Doc a 🥋 emoji, following with a dramatic “DOC HOW COME YOU NOT SHY BUT ME 🥺”; meanwhile, @SEXBURG3R flexed about ever having been in a server with Doc. Flexing rights: achieved.
On the real, will Doc have a skin in Off The Grid? @WICKNFT23 hopes so, tweeting, “We need a Dr. Disrespect skin asap!” Like, what’s even the point else?
As the stream was about to commence, electricity filled the air. Players poured in, hyped, skeptical, and full of curiosity on whether or not Off The Grid could measure up to Doc’s standards. Knowing Doc, he’ll either call it greatest thing since sliced bread or trash it harder than a default skin in the pro lobby.
One thing that unarguably works whenever Dr Disrespect decides to switch games is attention. Whether Off The Grid becomes the next big thing or just Doc’s chaotic phone call on their way to becoming, is something we’ll really never know. But it was one for the record books.
