It is released in new concept art that DOOM gives for its awaited project, and it sends the fans in here crazy. It is hard to ignore those gothic ambient sounds, and the community has already begun to analyze every single pixel to extract whatever hints it could. So what’s this game all about? Medieval DOOM? Knights slaying demons? DRAGONS??

First of all, BIG SHOUT-out to @AppleJuice1330 for putting it: “I don’t understand how every single piece of concept art/official art for this game goes so hard.” It does, like, seriously. Id Software never misses. It’s an intense, creepy decay of castle, with a singular warrior standing against…something. The ambiance is just the best.

But inside all the replies, such madness is happening. The user @NaturalHyper is begging for dragon enemies and is posting the same message like seven times. We know, bro; we get it. You want to fight a fire-breathing hell lizard. Same.

While @Squ3akSmart burns in his dreams, “I can’t sleep…….knowing he’s just around the corner….” Who’s this “he”? The Doom Slayer? A giant demon? My sleep paralysis demon? Those are questions driving us crazy.

Then there came @StonkyCubit, who somehow framed this into a culture war: “It’s weird how DOOM is suddenly gaycoded and woke.” My dude, it’s a picture of a sword and a castle. Touch grass.

Oh, and @JBLQuantum wins for wildest take ever: “Doom: The Duck Ages,” with a duck helmet added through Photoshop. Why? No clue. But it’s art.

Some fans are already making this their wallpaper (@iDragonHeartz); others are demanding full wallpaper kits (@DMotherfu). But @DeadLock_21 believes that we are getting demonic dragons. Honestly, I wish them to be right.

Some unfortunate side is @sodosiraso16g throwing shade:”Simon says ‘press green button to parry.’ Literal Fisher Price ‘gameplay.'” Oof. Someone’s been feeling. But of course, haters gotta hate.

In the end, the art slaps hard, and the hype is real. Now we just have to wait for more. Or, I don’t know, maybe start a petition for playable ducks. Your move, id Software.
