From really personality-bearing Zebras to final bosses-as beasts-the community is dishing out their wildest exploits, while some are just as crazy as some of the adventures.
What is Donkey Kong Bananza all about? Just recently released, the game lets a man descend into a colorful chaotic world full of new creatures, layers on layers, and barrel action to cry for. This avalanche of replies came after Nintendo posted one tweet saying, “Who’ve you met in #DonkeyKongBananza?” with gamers spilling about everything from funny NPC interactions to boss fights that make you want to throw your controller.
One such tale came from DodgerWAKE, who said, “I’ve met Kongs, Zebras, Ostriches and many others. In a way, it felt like I was on vacation. It was a great way to spend my summer vacation. 10/10.” Jay-Dizzle, on the other hand, expressed his agony, “I met the final boss….” Oof. Sounds like somebody didn’t walk away unscathed.
It’s not just the in-game pain and agony episodes that bring players in. Reason_Eddie went off in praise of the Fractones as the “funny little guys,” while Rob hollered at the top of his voice, “The Ze-Bruhs >>>” (whatever that means). There was even a player who begged Nintendo to include these new characters in Mario Kart World because… why not.
Ahem, some are not riding high on the fun tube. Another arrived with a snappy sharp swerve of a tweet: “New scummy practices, new ways to milk your customers 🤡💩💸👋 #DropThePrices #NintendoGreed.” Harsh? Maybe. But hey, passion cuts both ways.
While some are soaking in the sexy nostalgia vibe. Buttonaked gave a shout-out to the new Donkey Kong as “This Donkey Kong looks so much better than the Rare and Smash Bros versions. Kudos for remembering after decades that apes have noses.” At the same time, super8bitgamer pleaded for a Rare-era DK skin as DLC, showing that some fans just can’t let go.
Then there’s the final boss. Ooooooh… final boss. Mentioned by quite a few players. MacFan2410 deemed him “absolutely fantastic,” while ROOCIS Gaming confessed the need to lean on his/her nephew to get through it. That sort of wholesome struggle shall remain forever-gilded in gaming history.
