In a day-in-day reminiscence, Destiny 2 players are a collective taking part in a unique waiting game-“what, wait.” Bungie apparently missed the pretty ordinary weekly blog “This Week at Bungie”-the TWAB doing from-and-the-much-anticipated posting on their timeline. Posted cryptically was an odd tweet from the official Destiny 2 Twitter account, asking “Where TWAB?” and linking…to nothing but confusion.

For those who don’t know what TWAB is, it is to the outsider pretty much most sacred chalices of information: patch notes, event teases, sandbox changes, and occasional lore breadcrumbs. It would be like your favorite show taking a week off just out of nowhere. And the community? Well, they noticed.

It was just vaguely stated as “Check it.” The link provided did not shed more light on the subject. No explanation, no timeline for their delay; just silence after that. Customarily, about 1 PM EST on Thursdays, TWAB drops… but today? Nothing. From here stretches the darkness.

We thought we’d catch some panic memes among the replies; it left us a little speechless: there appeared to be no replies at all checking. Maybe Twitter’s really gone bad this time (not the first time), or the Destiny community is simply too blown away to reply? In a cult-following-type audience, this would have otherwise flooded the comments with things like Bungie pls and deep conspiracy theories regarding secret updates every time TWAB misses the schedule.

So, what’s the bust-up? Could just be a delay or surprise drop later, or even a Bungie plot twist-the scenario could be much bigger, requiring an extra minute to finish things up. You recall the shadow drop celebrating the 30th Anniversary Pack, right? Yeah, didn’t think it would be out of their realm.

For now, that leaves Guardians refreshing their feeds, waiting for that sweet glorious TWAB fix. And if it never comes? Well, at least the memes will keep us warm.

Keep looking because in history, Bungie’s silence can only mean something is about to happen. Or someone simply forgot to hit publish. Either way, we will update if the link starts whirring.

In the meantime, we will all get back to getting those lost sectors or whining about PvP first, whichever comes first.
