The streets of Night City have gotten deadlier—and infinitely more stylish. CD Projekt Red recently dropped another tweet that had the community standing and shouting about the Muramasa blade from Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion and a glistening new bike. Getting the captioned “The street has no armor for a blade like this,” replies then spilled with passionate hype, demands, and pleas…mostly begging for New Game Plus.
Good things, that bike. Top-tier class. Gamers have been calling it “a beast on all surfaces,” with some joking about issuing stand-up helmets (looking at you, CycloLiolio). Artist2be42 even went as far as thanking CDPR for the addition in the 2.3 update, calling it “a real beauty to behold.” People like Evocarti are already tinkering with the idea of customizing it (“I’ll take it in red”). And oh, that Muramasa blade-Karina Bella put it simply: “Muramasa hits hard!”
The inevitable chaos had to begin: requests are pouring down in the replies. The shout for New Game Plus (NG+) cannot be heard over: True Gaming Legend plainly said, “The street has no new game plus.” Then, more came with forest_green1: “I’ll invent the balance myself if CDPR won’t.” Kojiguma almost resigned himself to the idea that NG+ wouldn’t come until Cyberpunk 2.
And then the “fix the bugs first” crowd came in. Kambyyy was not shy about pointing out all the glitches, flickering textures, and crashes after 2.3, imploring CDPR, “don’t let Virtuos touch this game ever again.” Ouch. Based Cutepilled stated a much holier-than-thou agenda, demanding “procedurally generated interiors” and “AI-driven NPC dialogue” rather than “pointless” stuff like bikes.
CDPR’s answer? Would that mean anything except a follow-up tweet about the bike being “forged in legend and thirsty for CHOOH2”? Classic.
The next thing? A great divide among players. Some just want to drive that monster of a motorcycle into the neon sunset while others are feverishly drafting their feature requests as if it were a meeting of the corporate Night City council. And those NG+ folks? They just won’t stand down: Lorn918 said it best, “Ng+ and a much harder difficulty would be amazing.”
One thing is for certain; the Cyberpunk 2077 community is as diligent as the Muramasa blade. Whether CDPR grounds itself to fulfilling demands, sidesteps into the current, or leaves it for the winds, will be the deciding factor of how unsafe the streets—and the affected responses—will remain for a good while.
