The Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.3 has just been released, and the Muramasa bike is the reason this update exists—the absence of revving engine noises against it is a good tell. Now, a player can fully customize this chiseled beauty, but as for people’s responses—they are just as hazardous as the gangs of Night City.
To throw some hype in: According to CDPR, the Muramasa “is not just a motorcycle; it is a statement.” Now the user can alter the look of the bike and sign the paperwork (even with some bureaucracy in 2077) and hit those streets. Some, including Grim Hopeful, have pretty much fallen for it, calling it “absolutely beautiful.” And then some, such as Gui Arts, are already posting on social media pictures of their pimped-out rides because, realistically, the fashion in Night City has to apply to vehicles too.
But then the other side stands… Ultra Rare Duck calls this update “small and nothing,” complaining that the bike’s auto-drive feature is “lame and slow.” In true Night City style, WrathOfGrapesN7 has a whole saga of finding their Muramasa and ditching it for the trusted Kusanagi five minutes later.
Then a whole separate bunch have just… moved on. DrNoobdentist sums it up well: “I’ve done everything Night City has to offer. DLC included. It no longer draws me in.” Ouch. Meanwhile, Greeny is out here begging for New Game Plus to even kind of consider getting back on the Muramasa.
And no Cyberpunk update is complete without bug reports. aBrotherNord called out that the “Motorbreath” quest is still broken, with River Ward ghosting players after losing a car. VIZERION_VII was asking if 2.3.1 is about to roll out to patch up all the minor issues, while Fullmetalgeant just wants the Xbox Series version fixed (read as: “Fix Xbox série Version”).
Oh, and there’s also the bout of random debates. This devolved into a fight about first-person cutscenes in Resident Evil 8 (??), with avellimike roasting CDPR’s tweet on it for sounding like a ChatGPT response. The Muramasa’s design also wasn’t spared from criticism—XDarkShinobi7 wants to paint over the gold accents while The__KG is begging the back wheel not be gray.
So what can be said? Patch 2.3’s Muramasa is a mixed bag. A few players are living their best cyber-biker life; others shrug their shoulders, while a few wait on CDPR to patch the rest of the game. Well, at least, street views look cool when they’re not stuck behind a crate.
And for the gentlemen still living large: jokerdaddy23 wants to see “active bike gangs roaming the city.” CDPR, are you picking this one up? Time for Mad Max meets Akira mayhem in the next update!
