Well, hakuna matata! Rock along to the punk beat and have a raid on that corporate boardroom. Cyberpunk 2077 partnered with Insert Coin Tees for the entire SAMURAI collection-and it was an upside-down reaction from the folks!! I mean chaotic in a good way-the one that makes you feel alive in Night City.
So the official Cyberpunk Game Twitter account took to Twitter for one hype post dripping with Johnny Silverhand vibes. “C-Can you feel it?! Can you touch it?! Get ready ’cause here we go!” with a link going to Insert Coin. Jackets, tees, hoodies-the entire preem SAMURAI package; seen it all in Cyberpunk and probably wished to wear it to the grocery store or a protest or whatever fits one’s vibe.
And so the gamers crashed the party. Their replies poured down with untamed energy. One gamer, @SunsetGuppy, just screamed, “WERE FINALLY GETTING THE 2020 TOUR SHIRT,” which I honestly wish I could be screaming right now. This excitement really makes you feel as if you are there in that very first moment when you walk into Afterlife and that bass hits for the first time.
But hedging himself with some standard Night City issue would be far from an appropriate Cyberpunk community moment. Then shipment worries cascaded in from some of the international players. @angelslikeswift from Poland pleaded (or “błagam” in Polish, meaning “I beg”) for the collection to be made available in local stores such as Cropp. The Insert Coin folks ended up responding to say they ship worldwide, which is really cool.
And then there was the eternal struggle with buying clothes online in English. @OleputKing spoke for us all: “I’m just so scared to buy clothes online. Who knows how it’ll actually fit. Especially shirts, nowadays they hang down to your knees.” Insert Coin also replied with sizing guides plus measurements from their models, pretty much more than you’ll get from any Night City ripperdocs.
More demands followed quickly. @M4tt3o_MP asked if there were Barghest articles of clothing in store for the future, while @Pieceof60780107 wanted straight-up replicas for Johnny’s jacket and tank top. The merch hunger is real, and it’s good to see.
Then there was one that killed me. @cjax42 came in and said, “Never seen a singular game attempt to milk so much money out of the same 2000 or so people like this before. But if its working…respect.” That’s a true Cyberpunk take. Capitalism wins again, but at least we get some cool jackets.
The Insert Coin team jumped into the replies thereafter and participated in an active, outspokenly human manner. After a genuine reply was received, PaxRomana2024 said, “Never thought I would get an actual response from the actual people who own the site.” They described themselves as a small team all about the community and representing games they love. Quite wholesome, especially by Night City standards.
There then appeared as an issue the international shipping cost. @KevinWoblick and @Cowardbloom6 added to the worries about duties and postage. Insert Coin explained that they subsidize delivery charges as much as possible, but some costs are beyond their control. These “trumped-up tariffs,” they claimed, which sounds rather fitting for the current state of, well, everything.
Then there followed some random gameplay questions because there were. @_darkk_knightt_ went off about Johnny not spawning in vehicle passenger seats after the 2.31 patch and aggressive auto-drive changes. Because when you announce merch, evidently you also become tech support.
The best part about this was seeing so many of these get combined with their own gameplay experiences; @2Wireg said, “Literally listening to this last night as I started my second play through of this game,” that sort of timing that feels like the universe aligning.
That’s when I tell you: the collection looks sick. Classic SAMURAI logo gear, black jackets with red accents, everything that makes you feel like part of Johnny’s rebel pack. You can buy it from Insert Coin’s site, though your wallet will ask for a little while to forgive you.
Such community engagement is precisely why the comeback story of Cyberpunk 2077 gets so much traction. From a turbulent launch to Phantom Liberty blowing the minds of everyone out there, to now, getting that official merch which the players actually want?? CD Projekt Red are actually feeding what the community demands.
And the energy in those replies proves that one of the most passionate fandoms ever is the Cyberpunk fanbase. They’re not just buying merch; they live the universe. They’re gonna wear SAMURAI gear while playing and listening to their soundtrack and maybe while fighting on Corporations on Reddit.
If you have rings left, this collection is worth looking into. Just look at those size guides first unless you want your brand new SAMURAI shirt dragging down your knees like some kind of dystopian nightgown. Stay preem, chooms.
