In the light of numerous trade events getting postponed or canceled, people were anticipating what would come of Computex 2020, especially in times like this (COVID-19). However, it seems the biggest PC hardware event of the year is still scheduled for this year but further down to September 28-30, 2020!
This can only be great news because it would mean that we would have to wait for barely four months, and also announcements that were released by partner companies still stands!
But, it goes without saying that this reschedule should not be taken hook, line, and sinker! The reason is that this decision was made based on assumptions that the COVID pandemic would have sufficed to normality greatly by the second half of the year and things getting back to normal.
However, if the current state of the COVID pandemic continues to tip without hopes of dropping by the second half, then it’s likely that Computex, like other events, would be canceled in its entirety. (We hope it vanishes soon)
According to various leakers on the know, this reschedule was based on a particular report by McKinsey Consulting, which expects the COVID pandemic contained by the third quarter of this year.
Well, we can only hope for the same thing. Once we have a vaccine that is confirmed to restore people’s health upon taking shots, then we can safely wait for this year’s Computex to hold September 28-30.
Notwithstanding, all hardware lovers should have their fingers crossed for the Computex holding this year!
