Keshav Bhat went ahead and dropped a Twitter bomb while visiting Treyarch and being able to see Call of Duty Black Ops 7 in the flesh. Now, the entire COD community has gone berserk. The full reveal is slated for tomorrow at gamescom ONL, and you already can imagine CharlieIntel covering every bit of the details. But in the meantime, let’s recap everything we know and why some are already hyped (or skeptical).

First of all, the tweet itself was simple but cryptic. Keshav didn’t really spill the beans; just said that he saw BO7 and that there was to be coverage. Now, the replies? Pure anarchy. Some players were begging for Zombies news while others were making fun of old MW3 promos playing in the background (I mean, why, really?). Then, the classic split in the COD crowd goes half shouting, “WE’RE SO BACK,” and the other half cries, “Don’t care, the game’s dead.” Never change, COD fandom.

The Zombies talk in the replies was kinda interesting. Jakecam777 said straight out, “I’m praying some people got to play zombies again like they did with terminus.” And honestly? Same. Treyarch Zombies has always been a fan favorite, and if BO7 is going to be that classic round-based survival chaos, hell yeah. But then TheLastNebo starts panicking because MWZ popped up on screen…which, yeah, that game mode was awful. Hopefully, BO7 Zombies can save the day.

Then, there’s the mystery of the posters and trailers inside Treyarch’s studio. ShikikanZonbi caught a glimpse of an MW3 promo and was like: “Why is this here?” Keshav said that the studio just has all sorts of trailers playing-who knows, maybe some argument for nostalgia. But it did get some players wondering if we might get a BO1 remaster packaged with it. allseeingmario just straight out asked, “They’re going to bundle a remaster of bo1 to bo7 aren’t they.” I honestly wouldn’t even mind. BO1 was peak COD.

But not everyone’s sold. Pulsechain_ting cracked the harsh one, “No one cares,” with SigmaTuplicate echoing with “Don’t care.” Harsh words. But it’s a cycle COD has played before-hype, backlash, and everyone play it anyway. But the real question that needs asking is, can BO7 bring back that classic Black Ops magic, or is it just another yearly installment that nearly gets dropped after a month?

One-out-of-a-million things is that tomorrow’s reveal is going to be big. Keshav didn’t say the full run-through of all modes or just a teaser, but with gamescom ONL hanging over it, I’m betting on the former. And if the leaks are true, we could get some good Zombies info. Or, y’know, maybe another MWZ situation. Here’s hoping for the former.

So yeah, mark your calendars. Tomorrow’s the day we finally see what Treyarch has been cooking. Is this going to be a return to form? Another middle-of-the-road edition? Or would it be the reincarnation of COD Jesus? Tune in to CharlieIntel to find out. And in case it sucks… at least the memes will be on-point.
