Blizzard has once again improved the corruption resistance of the legendary cloak Ashjra’kamas in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. With the same weekly reset, M.O.T.H.E.R. will now be selling a new cycle of corruptions.
Beginning with Ashjra’kamas, players that have already gotten their cloak to Rank 15 will be able to continue building their corruption resistance. With this new improvement, the cloak can offer a maximum of 83 corruption resistance.
Corruption resistance is integral for gearing up, as every corruption applied will slowly corrupt the player. While corruptions are vital for endgame builds due to the powerful buffs they provide, they can also be dangerous or outright unusable for players without the proper amount of resistance.
With 83 corruption resistance, players are able to put quite a good amount of corruption on their gear before seeing any negative effects. Given that some of this rotation’s options inflict high amounts of corruption – as high as 75, in some cases – you’ll want as much as you can get.
At the same time, we have a new rotation of those applicable corruptions! With six new corruptions purchasable from M.O.T.H.E.R., there’s something for everyone, including one of the most powerful corruptions in the game.
The following corruptions are purchasable for this rotation:
- Expedient – 3,000 Echoes of Ny’alotha
- Twisted Appendage – 3,000 Echoes of Ny’alotha
- Racing Pulse – 5,000 Echoes of Ny’alotha
- Echoing Void – 7,875 Echoes of Ny’alotha
- Infinite Stars – 15,000 Echoes of Ny’alotha
- Severe – 5,000 Echoes of Ny’alotha
This is an array of extremely useful and powerful corruptions for players to take advantage of. While the cheaper options of Expedient and Twisted Appendage are a bit low, they can provide a great boost for a lowly-geared alt that you might not intend to put too much effort into.
That said, it might be best to save your Echoes and spend them on one of the more expensive options if you intend to keep your character geared for endgame. If you’re playing a Haste-based class, Racing Pulse might be a useful addition for you!
Infinite Stars is remarkably expensive, but is generally considered one of the most powerful – arguably the most powerful – corruption in the game at the moment. However, its strength lowers drastically the more enemies you’re facing.
For an AoE option, Echoing Void is a useful option, if an unpredictable one. Melee classes will find this an especially useful option, given that the player is the center of the effect, meaning that ranged classes would need to get closer to actually damage anyone.
Finally, Severe is the best possible corruption for most crit-based classes. Fury warriors, for example, typically will stack Severe as much as they can to keep their crit chance as high as possible.
