Nothing fuels hype for an upcoming expansion or release more than new merchandise for fans to buy up, and Blizzard knows this more than most companies do. The California developers have released a new line of merchandise for the upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion.

Every item that they’ve released is based on the upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion to help and drive interest towards the release, with gear and knick-knacks to suit the desires of everyone who may want something from the developers.

One of the main things that has been being touted is the new statue that we’ve linked to with an embedded tweet below – a statue of Thrall, former Warchief and founder of the New Horde and Orgrimmar.

The statue is worth mentioning for a variety of reasons, such as the notable details of the figure – Thrall wields the Doomhammer again, which was canonically given to players during the events of the Legion campaign.

He also has the armor that he wore as Warchief of the Horde, as well as the axe that he created while in self-imposed exile away from the Horde and onto the original land of Draenor, now Outland.

While perhaps not important to the average casual player, players that know the lore – who are more likely to buy a figure such as this regardless – know the significance of these items, making them much more notable.

It’s worth saying that it’s also spawned a bit of memery, with the face being a bit off looking. It certainly isn’t inaccurate, and it’s a gorgeous model – but the wide mouth and moderately displeased interaction has had plenty of people poking fun.

Of course, there’s more than just a statue of Thrall on offer. Blizzard has released a wide line of clothing, as well as a gorgeous stein and a few more items, such as the pins that players were able to get in the collector’s edition of the title.

These items don’t seem to be limited edition, so there’s not much of a rush, but it’s always best to snag what you want before it potentially goes out of stock. Some are also a bit pricy, though, such as the statue of Thrall running a cool $600 USD.

While most items aren’t limited edition, there is a limited edition version of the Thrall statue that’ll run a bit more at $750 USD, but if you’re a big enough fan of the original warchief of the New Horde to spring the cost, it’s a gorgeously crafted item.
