Battlefield 6 is back on the fight as the drama centers around the beautiful Liberation Peak map. Let me remind you that the map is beautiful; remember those visuals? However, the players are not just vibing with the scenery. A full-blown war has started regarding different views on sniper glints, attachments, and tanks being outright anti-sniper.

First misery: the sniper glint. That little shining glare which declares “HEY, I AM RIGHT HERE, PLEASE SHOOT ME” every time a sniper zooms in? Some players are mad about it. Then you have players like one user, @rynothethird, who almost acted as a spokesman for the groaners: “Why is everyone hating lens flare and sniper glint now? Oh no, I can see where snipers are—the horror!” Contrary to such support was @Hakun4M4t4t4 who countered, “Snipers, the worst campers!! Good to know they need skill now.” Ouch.

But just hang on, there’s a little twist buried in there. It seems Battlefield 6 has in fact an attachment that reduces sniper glint. @DiabolicalDon89, in his drop-the-mic comment, said: “Theres an attachment for sniper glint reduction.” So shall we consider it solved? Nah. @Ardabora66, self-styled as a Battlefield vet, through another descriptor said it should be there but is very punishing right now. “It’s like a club spotlight,” they said. Fair point.

And meanwhile, on the other hand, we see a whole debate about tanks versus snipers. @HighClover1 had the bright idea: “Sniper counter on that map? The tank. I counter-sniped them with the Abrams.” Legendary. @FireElite95 also agrees: “Get in an Abrams and show them that 120mm APFSDS is the superior sniper round.”

And of course, there’s also that infamous argument about slipping and shooting. @Ardabora66 added more tea: “Players slide and kill like it’s Call of Duty. There should be a penalty for accuracy after sliding.” I mean, valid. It’s always been about realism in Battlefield, and soldiers probably shouldn’t be doing 360 no-scopes while sliding.

And then there comes in @revinooooooo shining the spotlight over his Battlefield 1 camper hunter persona: “It’s so satisfying to creep behind campers, stab them, and teabag the crap out of them.” Rough. But hey, if snipers are going to camp, they should expect payback.

So what’s the bottom line? Gorgeous Liberation Peak, snipers are either too much or useless depending on who you ask, and tanks are just a flex. Oh, and slide-spamming maybe just needs some nerfing. What is agreed upon is that Battlefield 6 players are so passionate. Whether you’re into glint or hate it, the bottom line is: the snipers are going to have to watch their backs on this map. Or, you know, their backs might be doom-shaped like a tank just instead.

Still mad about glint? @Pingooo2018 has a good answer for you: “Bruh, para eso existe el humo pero nadie lo usa.” Translation: “Dude, smoke grenades exist but nobody uses them.” Touché. Maybe, teamwork was the real sniper counter all along.

Now go enjoy some Liberation Peak. Just…maybe don’t camp. Then again, maybe do. Just don’t come crying when that tank or sneaky knifing assassin gets you from orbit. That’s Battlefield, baby.
