With Battlefield 6‘s Open Beta having just launched in a craze, players were instantly thrust into chaotic action of dissension on which map was the main one to be played on. A recent ask was put to the gamers by CharlieINTEL, asking them to name the best map of the beta, and the responses wildly varied.

Some players enjoy Siege of Cairo and say that it is great urban warfare with open streets and tight alleys. One even mused about Back to Karkand vibes; which is just the ultimate curse coming back on any Battlefield player. The other side of the variety sees this map as too small, more of a meatgrinder.

Then there’s Liberation Peak-all loud icy sniper action! Some enjoy it for that big-scale warfare ambiance, while others would beg to differ: That mountain of campers is worse than any spawn trap. One player outright labeled it as “the worst,” while another claimed it was the only map that actually felt like Battlefield.

And then there’s Empire State! What is truly said is that the map is good only for Conquest according to some, while others rate it straight garbage, while a few others sit there wondering what it actually exists for. One player was harsh to say that is “one of the worst BF maps I’ve ever played,” which… ouch.

Though the maps have been splitting opinions; in the meantime, gameplay itself has been garnering mixed reviews. Some players complained about the RPG and tank damage, saying that infantry shouldn’t survive a direct hit. Others just rejoiced that it was other than Battlefield 2042.

At the end of the day, it’s really the Siege of Cairo map that is favored by the crowd so far, but from how polarized the stands are, it’s clear that DICE still needs to make changes before launch, from map size to spawn to snipers killing the fun for all.

So what do you think tops the list of maps? Or are you standing with the “they all suck” crowd? The beta is still live, so you have all the time to grind out some matches and decide. Just… maybe don’t try Empire State, unless you’re feeling really brave.

And if you’re still stuck between two decisions about Battlefield 6? At least there is competition from all the drama.
