The new Battlefield 6 multiplayer gameplay has just dropped, and many people were left perplexed. A clip showing Domination on Liberation Peak has somehow managed to cause a whirlpool of opinion: lots of hype, lots of bait, and tons of debate about weapon mechanics, motorcycle recoil, and whether this one can actually dethrone Call of Duty.
Let’s get into the gameplay, fast-paced actions, buildings crumbling (RIP campers), and then-a fairly delightful gunplay system, apparently. The moment it hit the internet, the trash talk began. Certain players were all over chatter in all caps about how the TTK was “TOO FAST!!!” While others loved it, saying those artists of Battlefield guns are about precision, not wild recoil.
The recoil debate has been there all along, of course. One user, Srk852, appeared somehow concerned regarding the lack of recoil, calling it “beaming” (which means for the uninitiated: laser beams for bullets—no spray, all precision). But others clapped back that it had never been about the crazy recoil. “Battlefield never had much recoil,” argued Baseball4Ever99, while a third player named Gorope said the truth has always been that in past game titles, overly random bullet spread is what’s kept outrageous rather than recoil from shots that were dead on with their crosshair.
Here goes the never-ending war between battlefield and Call of Duty. “I’ve played every single Cod and I am 100% done with it,” one of the current-generation gamers is allegedly exit-ing in-game. Another added, “No more my lil pony colorful weapon packs and no ridiculous jump-up-and-spinning slides.” Ouch! Still, not enough convinced, some are still doubting whether Battlefield’s anti-cheat system will measure up to COD’s laughably bad one.
Going with the nostalgia route, some give off vibes they got from this one major Battlefield 1phere vibe once saying, “Prime BF1 gave me a feeling of wonder I hope this game gives me again.” And some are just excited for the classic modes return, Rush included, with FreeWayCS calling it “one of their all-time best modes.”
I mean, honestly—destruction physics take the cake in this release. Other players reacted with “Camping in houses, we’re so back,” while another replied, “This game will be a camper’s worst nightmare because WE ALL are leveling every building people camp in.” Now, that is just pure Battlefield.
Are we left there? The gameplay looks good; debates are fiery; hype is real. Is Battlefield 6 going to be the COD killer that some players think it should be? Or is it going to be yet another entry in this dying-to-top-the-other FPS rivalry? Well, time will tell. What is clear is that gamers today are in desperate need of something new, and judging by this footage, Battlefield 6 might just be on the right path.
Well, if you will excuse me, I am going to watch that Domination clip for the 50th time. Just to, uh, uh, study the recoil patterns. Yeah.
