Hi gamers, the long-awaited moment is so close now. Twitter has officially announced that we are going to have Battlefield 6 on Friday. The tweet was really outstanding, with the hashtag #Battlefield6 and the words “Every squad. Every moment. Every battle is about to ignite.” as the quote. It is going to be stunning.
So what’s the deal? The latest massive Battlefield entry has almost arrived after a rather elongated period of waiting through teasers and speculations. The confirmation from NVIDIA not only discloses the launch date but also certainty that the whole scenario was not a lie. This is truly huge news and a funny one at that to the FPS community due to the identical lead time of the shooting games. The schedule… well, to put it in few words, it is convoluted.
But of course, where there is hype, there is also a great mass of reactions in the comments box. And unfortunately, some of them are a bit too over the top, if I may say. The general response from the community is that some are just too thrilled, on one side, with some disapproving on the other side.
One very interesting and stimulating topic is the talk about money. Dividend Dad, for example, did not waste any time to come in and make the correlation between NVIDIA GeForce and Battlefield 6 straightaway in a more trading view, and he did it on Twitter, ‘@NVIDIAGeForce and so the great equation goes: $NVDA + Battlefield 6 = utopia’. He is actually not very far from the truth. A huge and successful game launch is ultimately a big thing for the tech companies involved in the story and they therefore view it as a good trading opportunity in the meantime.
The situation then takes an ugly turn. A future streamer, Deathwhitch, spoils the whole vibe by being critical and stating, ‘Wow look at the COD streamers that are being promoted who will say the game is bad then go back to cod after they are done milking it for content. Jesus Christ I hope you guys weren’t paid for this spot’. Ouch, that is quite a hit. It casts a light on the somewhat odd-funny (yet still rather serious) relationship between the gamer communities.
Streamers who hop on the bandwagon of a new game title for it to be a source of a larger audience to their channels may not really be sticklers to it, and Darren Antonio in a calm voice echoed the same sentiment with a question that gets to the point, ‘why show that cod streamer @NVIDIAGeForce’. It is evident that some of the patrons of the Battlefield brand have been frustrated with the company for employing celebrities of the ‘rival faction’’
Eventually, there are some security hitches to tackle as well. A new user that goes by the name helish_88 talks about the technical aspect, posing a question, ‘@NVIDIAGeForce did you fix all drivers issues?’. A new game with high-class graphic features is sometimes the main cause of the GPU drivers to crash, so power users (or the especially vigilant ones) are worried that NVIDIA might not have brought a release without any problem by the time they repeat. Dem🔥! on the other side, is interested in the price and so he requests, ‘Will it be available with EA membership too? @NVIDIAGeForce’. This is a matter of concern for the consumers who would rather take a monthly gaming service subscription as compared to buying individual games each time.
The best tweet out of the responses is the one which is likely the easiest for most of us to understand. SH1SH9 shared the nervous person GIF with ‘@NVIDIAGeForce My PC ain’t ready 😭’ as the caption. We all definitely know that feeling, don’t we? It is like a moment of sudden realization that maybe your personal computer is not in sync with the game. It is the usual pre-launch madness. PlayStation and Xbox players are all eagerly awaiting the release.
