If you have yet to play this stellar action-adventure RPG, then you’ll be happy to know that Ubisoft is having a free-play weekend starting March 19th. It’s lasting all the way through the 22nd, which is plenty of time to take this game out for a spin to see what you’ve been missing.

The world of Ancient Greece is proudly on display in this beloved Assassin’s Creed game. Never before has this series felt as open and limitless as it does here. The developer dedicated countless hours getting the details just right and faithful to what you would expect these times to be.

From volcanic islands to lush forests, there are just so many beautiful environments you’ll get to explore when you’re not completing main quests or side missions. The very act of exploring will leave you with hours and hours of joyful moments that you just can’t get anywhere else. At times, it can seem rather intimidating seeing everything this game has to offer.

The story is also amazing. You get to choose an allegiance to either Sparta or Athens. The choices you make will shape how the main story plays out. You’re thus constantly on the edge of your seat anxiously waiting for what’s to come. That’s an amazing improvement that fans have really enjoyed with this game out of the gate.

The fighting systems are competent and they don’t get as repetitive compared to previous installments. There’s a great progression system that helps keep combat fresh as well. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also shines bright in its quest design. There are just so many things you can do. So much — in fact — that you could end up playing this game for months and still find new adventures.
