ASRock has continued to expand its lineup of graphics cards, as it introduced two new models. These are the Radeon RX 5700 XT Phantom Gaming and Radeon RX 5700 Phantom Gaming.
Since 2002, the Taiwanese electronics company has been known for producing motherboards. Nevertheless, it has also proven itself as a manufacturer of high-quality GPUs.
The manufacturing firm has even made sure that it can keep up with the competition, especially with the leading brands. Accordingly, the latest products from ASRock Inc. have better clock rates than AMD.
One of these ASRock Phantom Gaming graphics cards. They have a maximum frequency of 1,945 MHz, which is higher than the 1,905 MHz from AMD.
To make a head-on comparison, here is a glimpse of the two brands’ frequencies:
• The base clock of ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC is pegged at 1,690 MHz, while AMD’s is only 1,465 MHz. For the maximum clock rate, ASRock’s can hit 1,945 MHz, while AMD’s is just 1,725.
• For the other model, it can be observed that its base clock is higher than AMD’s. However, the maximum clock rate of the latter is higher compared to ASRock’s. The RX 5700Phantom Gaming D 8G OC has a base clock of 1,610 MHz and a maximum rate of 1,750. Meanwhile, the competitor has a record of 1,605 MHz and 1,905 MHz base/maximum clock rates.
The upcoming ASRock graphics cards have no price tags yet, as well as an official release date.
Tech sites have surmised, though, that these could be offered for a price lower than those of the Taichi series. But, they could be more expensive than what is being offered under the Challenger lineup. In short, the new variants may have been considered for affordability to attract more tech-savvy but budget-conscious individuals.
In a separate development, the graphics card war between ASRock and AMD is over when it comes to motherboards. The two tech giants are joining forces in coming up with the new TRX40 models – the Creator and Taichi.
The motherboards from ASRock are both built via AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 3000, a third-generation platform. These likewise feature the AMD Socket sTRX4.
The TRX40 Creator boasts of the capacity to produce content with ease. Thanks to its maximum transfer speed of 64 Gbps. Meanwhile, the TRX40 Taichi is marketed as an expert in expandability, especially with its remarkable storage speed.
